I recently purchased the Winter Tales of the Snowbabies by Carolyn M. Johnson and it's a Keeper!

I have always just collected Snowbabies because I like them so much, but this book puts it all in prospective for me. There is so much more to know and learn about the Snowbabies than just the brief Legend printed on the Winter Tales boxes! Paul Harvey always said, "And now for the Rest of the Story", and this couldn't be truer for the Winter Tales of the Snowbabies book.

As A Collector; There's a lot of knowledge here about the Snowbabies. If you are a collector like me, then you will enjoy reading the book, learning a little trivia, and knowing more about your snowbabie than just the name of each piece.

Rhyming lines make it a fun and easy to read and share book, especially with children. It has really sweet poems and three darling, full length stories which all take place around Christmas and in Winter, hence the name Winter Tales. In the stories, there is a little girl ( unnamed), with stories unfolding which spark the imagination as snowbabies are discovered and the tales of their daily life and journey's are uncovered. Adding to that, it is a Storybook with Beautiful, Color pictures to look at as you read to the little ones. Illustrated by Kirsten Soderlind. So pretty! Heavy stock, glossy pages too.

The bookcovers are the traditional Snowbabies dark Green with Gold lettering, same as the Snowbabies figurine boxes. Glossy, White Illustrated Dust jacket. 72 pages (36 front&back), including lined pages in the back of the book to add your name and the names &year of the snowbabies in your personal collection.


It will be a favorite holiday book around here. Winter setting, Christmas, a little girl and of course many of our favorite pieces.

Cons: Does not come with a Snowbabies spinner mug of hot cocoa to warm you or a plush Snowbabies animal for the little ones to cuddle while listening to the stories.


Just Adorable; I highly recommend the book to all collector's who want to gain a better understanding of the Snowbabies life and to anyone who loves to read to children.
