The Winslow Boy
The old version of The Winslow Boy with Robert Donat has always been one of my favorite movies. Since I live Jeremy Northam, I thought I would give this version a try. It is very good, as well, but I could not give it an excellent ration because, unlike the original, it did not actually show the trial. Robert Donat's cross examination of the handwriting expert and his examination of Ronnie Winslow in which "the truth" about the missing minutes is revealed was great and missing in the newer version. Since it is very difficult to find a copy of the old movie, I would highly recommend this version. BUT, if you can find the 1948 black and white version, I would recommend it first.
