Kids love this game!

I was looking for a game for my 4 year old twins that would be easy and fun for them to play. This is a good game for young kids. It has familiar characters, good cartoon quality graphics, and the style of gameplay is helpful for young children who might need hints or who can't read yet. Important objects glow and characters talk out loud to each other to tell the player what needs to be done. Some of the parts are a little difficult, especially because it's hard for little hands to work the controller fast enough, and a parent or older sibling may need to help out. There is no game over. If a task isn't completed, the player gets as many chances as needed or can just leave the area and do something else. It is a very good one player game in the adventure mode. The two player mode is a little weak, consisting mainly of short mini games where players play against each other or as a team. However, the kids still enjoy this mode. It's actually helping my son learn that it's okay to lose sometimes and that he just need to try again. There is also an area of the game designed for very young children where the player just explores rather than completing tasks. One thing I don't like about the game is that some of the adventures are locked until other ones are completed. This is fine for older kids, but frustrating for young children who just want to have fun and don't care yet about accomplishing goals. My 9 year old son also plays the game, but it's not challenging enough for him and he gets bored with it quickly. I would recommend this game for the 3-6 age group.
