There once was a show from Nantucket
Limericks aside this sit-com had it all. The brilliant ensemble cast of characters, who managed Not to become caricatures over the course of 7 years, was always engaging. The lead actors, who depicted two brothers, were truly appealing. The physical humor was riotous and the witty repartee was hilarious. The plotlines were skillfully and seamlessly interwoven. The stories were intelligent and unusual, never stupid and predictable. It is perhaps a testament to the show that, despite most of the action taking place in a small Nantucket airline terminal waiting room, it remained a primetime staple for so long. Hurrah and halleluiah that it’s now available on DVD to watch over and over again, as it’s one of the few sit-coms that warrant reviewing.
