I THINK ALL THE "FOR DUMMIES" BOOKS ARE PRETTY WELL DONE. THEY USE HUMOR TO HOLD YOUR ATTENTION. THIS BOOK IS ESPECIALLY GOOD FOR BEGINNERS I THINK. I'VE BEEN DOING THIS AWHILE BUT I ALSO READ SOME TIPS AND IDEAS I HADN'T THOUGHT OF OR HAD THOUGHT OF IN A DIFFERENT WAY. I'M ALWAYS LOOKING FOR GOOD IDEAS. THIS BOOK HAS SOME.

I have always liked the "dummies" books. I got started on e-Bay years ago by buying the ebay dummie book. This one fills the bill for Windows Vista. It is easy to find the answer to your question and written in layman's terms. What more could you ask?

this book has some basics about windows vista. very good answers to the basic questions. it does lack some toubleshooting for IE7 like NOT RESPONDING errors. also need to include info on erasing a disc {wiping it} and doing a write over, so no one can ever access the data again. like what to do to erase disc completely HD for reselling a computer and not letting go of sensitive data to wrong hands. otherwise answers a lot of basic questions well. Now on formating and reformating HD, I realise this is beyond the intended scope of this book. Scott Mueller has a good book for the more technical stuff.
