Excellent 30" cooktop

We were constrained in space in our kitchen to a 30" cooktop. I researched many brands and designs and decided that I wanted a 5-burner model with a high-output burner. Only two in a reasonable price range met the requirements (the Windcrest and the Caldera). I also wanted the configuration of the burners to match how I thought I would use the cooktop.
The construction of this unit is very solid, from the knobs to the grates to the burner caps. Cleaning is easy. The only complaint I have is hypothetical to this point, but I'm worried that a large spill could get under the base plate of the pan and be difficult to clean.
The available power is astonishing. You have to realize that you will rarely use the bigger burners at the their high output. But when you need them (say, for searing beef, rather than "steaming" it as juices accumulate), you have it there on demand. You can throw in a fairly large amount of food to cook and keep the temp high, which prevents meat from sticking and cooks it beautifully. You also have the really low output burner for simmering.
The surprise is that I actually can use all the burners. It's cramped, sure. But, I can have a spaghetti pot on the center and still use the side burners with full-sized pans.
It was a great buy.
