Movie Description
Like a cross between Barbie and Harry Potter, the bubbly cartoon series THE WINX CLUB fuses fashion and magic into a charmingly girl-powered chronicle of preteen life. The animated television series centers around Bloom, a seemingly normal 14-year-old girl who discovers she has magical powers and enrolls herself at a school for fairies. Banding together with her new fairy friends, Bloom forms the fashion-conscious WinX Club to fend off the black-magic machinations of their rivals at a witches' academy. Fun, stylish, and very girly, THE WINX CLUB is rendered in a colorful, cotton-candy style of animation perfectly suited to its breezy mix of teenage drama, romance, and magical action sequences. This introductory volume kicks off the series with the first four episodes.
