HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE literally transformed my life, along with the lives of countless millions of others in the past 70+ years. After reading this book I made a lot more money and was much happier both in my personal and professional life. My only regret is that I didn't read it 20 years earlier. This book should be required reading for every student in America, instead of half the nonsense they're forced to endure.
Carnegie asserts that success is 15% ability and 85% communication. Now, I took "communication" in business school and it was a bunch of boring diagrams and buzzwords involving active this and passive that. Carnegie does not do this. Carnegie has such a passion for the art and skill of communication that it seems like the most interesting, most essential thing in the world. You will never be bored reading this book. He also writes with a clear style that is always understandable and never seems dated. The paper version is a real page-turner and listening to the unabridged audiobook is the best 10 hours you'll ever spend in your car with the engine on.
There have been countless self-help books published in the last 7 decades, but this book is the king granddaddy of them all. Whatever you're looking for in a self-help book, How To Win Friends And Influence People will help. You want more money? This book will help. You want more love? This book will help.
