Classic (and classy) Wilson forged blades

These are clubs for players who know how to hit their irons. If your handicap is not in the single digits, forget it. These are classic blades of their era, which is to say better than their 1960s counterparts, but still requiring a repeating, on-plane swing and consistent contact. Trajectory is medium, I'd say, though that will depend on your individual swing characteristics. Still compares favorably with modern blades, but then blade technology doesn't change drastically. Needless to say, made to work the ball. Even solid players probably won't relish the 3-iron, and maybe the 4, unless their shot shape is a low draw. There's a reason even tour players are going to hybrids or at least cavity backs in their long irons. Keep in mind that these clubs have weaker lofts than most modern counterparts, so you may have to adjust club selection accordingly. Nice looking clubs, reminding on of the era when Wilson, MacGregor and Spalding dominated the market. Sad to see what has come of the great Wilson golf name (though I have a set of the current Wilson Fi5 forged combo set, and they're as good as any similar model on the market).
