Wilson Staff Pd5 Driver Golf Club

I don't know exactly what nano tech. is but it works. I have had my Pd5 about 4 months now and am hitting more fairways and have picked up about 10 to 15 more yards per drive. I have gotten comments from several peole I play with a lot about how I have been hitting the ball. One is my son who is a asst. golf pro. He has hit it also but the shaft I have isn't enough for him but he did hit it well. I have the standard still shaft that comes in the club. It has great feel and a lot of kick when it hits the ball. In most of my 18 hole rounds, not counting par 3 holes, I am only missing 2 to 3 fairways. I feel comfortable with it and I guess that is a plus no matter what club you have in your hands.

Sets up great at address, feels soft at impact, looks great in the bag. Head cover is very appealing. 10.5 degree loft is just enough for me.I actually like it more than the Cleveland Hi-Bore I bought. Solid dependable club that I have confidence in. Same Driver that Padraig used to win British Open. Oh yeah, It didn't hurt my feelings that is was a steal on ebay $$$ wise!!!

This driver is clasic looking , sets up square and is easy to hit. Very straight and long & good price.

Needed a more forgiving driver,,,with more loft and not so stiff flex...This is exactly what I needed...not as much distance..but much more consistent in the fairway bigger head, also helped me..

When I was almost knee high to a grasshopper, my dad bought some new clubs. I don't remember the brand, but they were Sam Snead Blue Ridge clubs. He was really happy checking them all out, and his mood was great when he came home from his first day of using them out on the course. I mention this because this is the same way I reacted to my new club. Its appearance is mildly retro, but its performance is definitely modern. It inspires confidence, and that's probably at least partially why I am able to get such good results with it, same as my dad was with his clubs, back in the day. Five stars for Wilson!

Pd5 Driver is under rated,as many Wilson clubs are. This driver is awesome! It has great feel and balance. If Wilson spent money on ads, then everybody would know about them and they would have to charge an arm and a leg, like other companies!

Great buy! I wanted to try a higher lofted driver for more carry without having to to go to a low spin ball.Very light feel,great looks,and a powerful sound.I had people on the driving range look over after each long,high drive.It added a good 15 yds.to my tee shot.A very slight fade(my usual ball flight).A great looking driver at a great price.Much happier with this driver than I am with my Taylor Made quad which had been my faithful driver for 3 years.I'm a 9 handicap who doesn't change equipment with each fad.This club will definately stay in my bag.I'm going to look for matching fairway woods.If they can beat my Cobra's,I'll be happy to keep them in my bag as well.Wilson hit the mark with this driver.Find a demo day and try it for yourself.

These covers by Nike are very well made and the style blends in with all type golf bage.They go on and off with ease,so it's quick to cover a club after each shot.

Price was right. It is a gift for my son. He has just begun to golf so this will help him decide how involved in the game he wants to be.

I got my PD5 about 5 months ago. I bought it basically because it was cheap.
When it arrived I was shocked to see it easily out drive my Taylormade R7 Quad by at least 25 yards.

This is a great driver, nice feel, straight and Loooooong. It is easily 25-30 yards longer, on average, than my Taylormade R7 Quad. Balls just jump off this club.

Mine is a 10.5* drivers with a stiff shaft. It launches the ball high with great spin that rolls a mile after a long flight. With my R7, I tend to hit lower shots that don't carry as far or roll as far.

BTW, despite what the above reviewer says, Padraig did not win the open with a 400cc PD5, to my knowledge, he used a 460cc DD6.

I bought this driver at a close out price primarily to try a driver with an extra stiff graphite shaft. It has not disappointed. It is very solid and is every bit as long as my Mizuno and Titleist drivers.
