  Ci7 Sweet Hitting Machines

These irons are some sweet hitting machines, produce shots that are high and long with soft landing so you can put the ball on the pin without worrying about rolling way past. They are also very forgiving, ball flight remains true and distances don't drop off much with mishits unless it's really bad, as well. They have a nice clean look and are just a joy to play.

I purchased this set after attending a golf-fest in Florida. I tried all of the major brands and kept coming back to the CI7's. They have been everything I expected. They look great and have a great balance between playability, feel and workability. I would highly recommend them.

A high quality set that is a super bargain at discontinued/blowout pricing. Low offset player's look tells you they're serious clubs, probably for the mid-low handicapper. For this 12-14, 80-90 mph swinger, it took some time to transition from graphite to steel but I came to like the extra weight compared to graphite, even though the TT shafts are 105. Long shafts are the same length as my graphite Cobras. Impure hits are still jarring, despite the advanced vibration absorbing material, but pure hits are buttery and the accuracy is sublime. I guess that's what these kinds of clubs are meant to do, reward you for playing well. Really like the gap wedge for chipping, especially bump and runs. Good combo of feel and forgiveness in a wedge.

Very nice clubs for the better-than-average golfer

These clubs are a perfect meld of a high performance tour blade and a game-improvement cavity back. When the sweet spot is hit, it feels like butter. Deviate too much from center and you will feel a noticeable and uncomfortable vibration. Also beware that the sole is fairly narrow and will easily dig into the ground if your swing comes down too steeply -- the dreaded shot where the divot flies farther than the ball. Overall, a great set for those wanting a step up to a club where you can begin working the ball more, yet more forgiving than traditional blades on mishits.

  Ci7 irons are great

As a scratch player, I have played forged blades for forty years. The Ci7 irons from Wilson Staff feel just as good and are more forgiving. As an old, traditional name in golf, it appears that Wilson is back at the top with great equipment for a wide range of players.

great clubs but need some tweaking

great set of clubs out of the box from a fine ebay seller. Had them checked for lie angle by pro. They were all over the place. Some upright, some flat, some normal. Not the sellers fault at all, but if you play decent golf or if your a hack, having them set up correctly is the way to go. Sometimes its the clubs and really not all your fault.

I really like these clubs. I even traded my Ping I5's off after hitting these. They give good feed back on mishits. Good swings feel great and are very consistant. I like the way they set up and look at address.

Never thought I'd like a Wilson Staff Product
Review created: 09/01/09

First of all, let me start by saying that I've hit, owned and tried almost everything out there and none has done what they say they do, better than Wilson Staff has done with these irons. You always hear how this company has incorporated a stiffer tip in the shaft, or this company's irons come with notch weighting... ect. ect. so on and so forth. Well, I've finally seen the proof of all this technological mumbo jumbo in these irons and if you've read the factory specs, I'd say believe the hype! When I first tried the 6 iron demo, I'd have to say, I wasn't impressed. Found a great deal on a new set, purchased them and went straight to the course. I'm usually 150 yards with a 7 iron, now, I can push the 8 iron of the Ci 7's i55 and man, what a great sound at impact. I really didn't think I'd like these clubs, but now, these clubs are my gamers and everything else is for sale. Truly an eye opening experience.

I switched to these irons from Nike Combo irons. I have super control and controlled distance. I shot a 79 the first time out with these clubs, with no practice with them. I am very pleased with these irons.

Clubs are easy to hit, but still have great feel in them, great game improvement iron for a player who still wants feedback.

Dont let the name fool you
Review created: 01/11/10

I play Ping, Titleist and Mizuno, and when I think of Wilson I think of discount clubs.
But these Ci-7 look like player clubs, and though it’s hard to work the ball right or left, they do go straight and are forgiving.
They are very hard to over look especially with the price being half of brand I play.
I ended up buying Titleist Ap-1 irons, but it was for more of the name than the club.

I bought these irons with the idea of going to a game improving set of irons. They are pretty to look at , the top line is a little thicker than I prefer, but not bulky. I only hit the 8 iron off a mat but it felt great. The uniflex shafts will have to go, but over all I like the look and the feel of these clubs.
