William S. Rice by Roberta Rice Treseder (2009, Hardcover)

Anyone interested in color woodblock prints certainly knows the name William S. Rice. His prints seldom come up for sale so they apparently remain in the hands of lucky collectors already. The few that do make it to market are fairly costly, so even if of interest, they may be unaffordable. At last a book of a collection of his many California prints has become available. Most of these I have never seen, so it is a delight to slowly turn each page to savor the beauty of his creations. You will not be disappointed.
