The original - plus new games
Review created: 11/09/09

Just when I was getting bored with the original Wii Fit mini-games, Wii Fit Plus arrived! The Plus version includes everything from the original, plus several new features.
My favorite part is that there's a whole screen full of new games. Like the original set, they're colorful and creative. Many use the Wiimote as well as the balance board: the Wiimote serves as the handlebars of your Segway, or shows how well you can juggle while you balance on a giant beach ball. You can even fly through the air while dressed as a chicken! You also have the option to play some "brain fitness" games that test how quickly you're adding up numbers or sorting out colors.
After you finish an activity, Wii Fit Plus tells you how many calories you just burned. Unfortunately, most don't burn more than a couple of calories, which can be a bit discouraging -- and it's based on a generic intensity measure, so you don't get any bonus points for going all out. In fact, the new games seem weighted toward efficiency more than intensity; when you do the bicycle ride it's a good workout, but the longer you spend racing around the course, the lower your score at the end... so there's little on-screen incentive to work harder while you play.
Happily, you can extend each phase of your workout by choosing from several pre-made routines that mix a variety of exercises (for a total around 5 minutes each), or you can design and save your own favorite workout - whether it's all balance games, a mix of hip-toning yoga and strength poses, or some other combination you love best. Since the routines move directly from one activity to the next, you get to skip all the lost time navigating the menus, and devote your exercise time to the exercises themselves.
Although still a comparatively mild workout, like the original game, the Wii Fit Plus is a fun way to spend more time getting active at home.

  Wii Fit Plus is great!!!

I have the original Wii Fit and enjoy the games. So of course when the Plus was announced I wanted it also. If you already have the balance board, there is no need to purchase another. With the Plus, it pulls your information from the Wii Fit game. All the games from the original are on the Plus. Some of the new games include bike riding, segway riding, juggling, marching band, kung fu, flying like a bird. Also another guiding a bubble through the water. A table tilt and a tilting game using the balance board and wiimote. I really enjoy all the new games. There is also a few new yoga and strength items. You can also set calorie burning goals for yourself. And set up routines for yourself. Or pick what area of your body you want to work on, they have preset routines. It is a good workout without feeling like you are working out. I don't even call it working out, I call it playing.

  Is plus worth the buy?
Review created: 02/26/10

I bought wii fit when it first came out, so when wii fit plus came out I had to make a decision. I would first like to discuss whether $90 is worth wii fit then if $20 is worth fit plus.

$90 for wii fit is awfully pricey, if you are planning on using the balance board for other games I would suggest getting it. I've been using wii fit for almost 2 years now and I would say it helps, but not $90 worth. Once I started playing other games with the balance board I really was glad I bought it (I know your not doing well now TW, but the next Tiger Woods needs to use the balance board). At the very least the games are fun and it gets me off my butt and conscious of what I weigh.

Already have wii fit and wondering if $20 is worth wii fit plus? First of all if you get the opportunity to buy this game for $10 or even $15 do not pass it up, if you plan to use it. Fit plus has more of everything, the games are blast. It's one of my favorite games. I play a little golf and there's a game that shows my weight transfer that is A) helpful B) fun. Surprisingly the golf game is pretty accurate. There are a few games that I'll probably only play once. I'd say the majority of them I'll play every once in a while. If you don't use yoga or strength I would suggest looking at the game list and decide if it's worth it for you, because I believe it very well could be for $20. The games really are fun. The yoga poses are really good and so are the strength building exercises. I wouldn't say that they are worth the transfer up to fit plus by themselves. There is also a calorie counter which estimates based on your weight and activity and you can set a goal to get to everyday, which for some people will make them get to it. They now have a section for the workouts and shows what you're working on (very good). After all this I would definitely say that $20 is worth the upgrade.

Even better than the original Wii Fit!

If you liked the Wii Fit, you will LOVE the Wii Fit Plus.
It has many new activities including skateboarding (!) and you can finally stop following that yappy little dog and roam the island on your own, going wherever you want to on a bike! It also has more exercises, and the built in routines mean you aren't constantly reaching for the Wiimote to press the "A" button after each exercise. It uses the Nunchuk quite a bit (I had to hunt for mine, I had never used it before, but you need it to juggle! also for the rhythmic boxing)
I still find you have to listen to the "do this exercise every day to improve your posture" propaganda a little too much. I wish it could "remember" that it told me that last time, and the time before that, and would vary the speech a little more, but maybe that will be in version 3.
The main thing is that it makes moving fun again, and that's what really counts. I am 54 and never thought I could have this much fun exercising! Highly recommended!

P.S. One complaint: Although the conversion of the existing data from the original Wii Fit went off without a hitch, it mysteriously now measures weight in Kilograms. Admittedly, in Canada that's how we do things officially, but I, like many of my older fellow Canadians, have never adjusted body weight measurements to Kg, nor height to centimeters, nor pool temperature to Celsius (air temperature is another matter, no problems adjusting to that!) Anyway, there does not seem to be any way to select Lbs over Kgs, or at least I haven't found it! I guess I'll get used to it!

  Wii Fit Plus

As an owner and constant user of the Wii Fit, I was eager to get the Wii Fit Plus. I was not dissapointed. The upgrade is relatively inexpensive (compared to buying a new game). It allows you to continue to use all the routines from the Original Wii fit and adds a group of new activities. My biggest complaint with the original Wii Fit was that almost all of the activities were worth one or two minutes credit. With Wii Fit Plus several workouts, such as Island Cycling (which also has 4 or 5 different skill levels)and the Obstacle Course (2 levels)will give you much longer workouts, up to 30 minutes on some of the Island Cycling levels. This eliminates the wasted time between finishing one workout and beginning another and also allows for continuous calorie burn off.

Wii Fit Plus also allows you to use pre-set workouts or you can create your own. Another SUPER feature is the ability to move from one person to another without having to close the game and start it up again. We use this feature to have family contest nights, which give us a combination of exercise and family time.

Wii Fit Plus is a "must have" for anyone that currently enjoys Wii Fit. I hope the people at Wii are working on yet another enhancement!

  Wii Fit Plus
Review created: 11/20/09

I like this addition to the Wii Fit franchise and it is a good deal for the price (if you already own the first Wii Fit game and Balance Board). Nintendo provided some useful features in this update -- some not so, but at least they are fun for a moment. I'm not a serious Yoga or workout addict so I'm not using this to the fullest. However, even for the casual exercises once or twice a week this is a good way to burn some calories, feel better about yourself and have fun doing it. Either by yourself or with friends and/or family this game fits the bill -- if you can forgive a few minor missteps. But nobody's perfect.

Wii Fit Plus = More Wii Fit Fun
Review created: 07/18/10

From the moment I first started using Wii Fit to train and workout at home, I was hooked. I was impressed with the variety and 'fun factor' of the program. Wii Fit Plus continues with the variations of how to make getting fit more enjoyable. Fit plus expands on the initial goals and principles of Wii Fit by adding new 'arcade' type exercise activities along with allowing the user to create goals and personalized, tailored workouts. As a person who never stuck to a regular gym routine, I have to say I look forward to my daily workout with the Wii Fit Plus. I was just congratulated for my 52nd day of working out and it felt great!

  Good variety of exercises
Review created: 05/03/10

I haven't explored this game in depth yet, but from what I've seen it definitely has some redeeming qualities. There is a large variety of exercises included in it, and they range from balancing, to stretching, to using your body weight to strength train. There are also aerobic options for fat burning. It tracks your calorie burn, and can help you track fitness goals over time.

I'm sure there are things I won't like so much about it as time goes on (there's always something) but so far its pretty cool. I could get the same workout in other ways, but the way it monitors you is entertaining so it wins some novelty points as well. If you have the extra money to purchase the game and balance board, it may be worth it for you.

  Wii Fit Plus
Review created: 02/22/10

The new games are terrific--involving physical and mental skills. This game can put together a work out routine which can last five minutes or more than an hour!! Additionally, it estimates the amount of calories burned which is a big motivation for me.

I had the Wii Fit and was getting bored with the aerobics, yoga and strength exercises. The balance options were still challenging. There are many of the same exercises as before but with the Wii Fit routines that the machine sets up, I find it is less repetitious than what I was doing previously. I also am "trying" new exercises which intimidated me earlier because they come up in the sequence.

The mouth movements on the trainers is lacking and the audience still doesn't have hands -- I hoped that these would have been improved in the newer edition.

All in all -- it is well worth the cost!

  Wii Fit Plus A Must
Review created: 01/05/10

I bought this as an addition to my Wii Fit program. My 5 yr old daughter loves to play this more than I do. She loves that in the running segments she has to look for clues that she'll be asked in a quiz after her run is over. It helps her be more observant and it's helping her reading skills. The only drawback with the new games is the bicycling is different on this game than with the Wii Resort (which we also love). Once you're used to doing an activity one way, it's hard to get used to a new way. (in resort you use controller w/nunchuk & peddle with your arms. in fit you use controller alone to steer and use board stepping to peddle). Either way you get a great workout. The obstacle course is great along with the snowball fight. We love that we could add our pet as a Mii character and also have multiple players on the games. It's been a wonderful item to bring our small family together and have loads of fun.

  Wii fit a real plus
Review created: 10/10/09

I realy like all the new added features. The grafics are improved. I really like that you can play the new and old wii fit together. You can design your own work out, it tells you how many calories you have burned after each thing you do! I don't love that you aren't burning as many calories as you think! It's still fun! It has a new balance marble game, it's ok. Otherwise you'll be riding bike, running/walking through an obstacle coarse and a lot of other different games, oh they want you to use your brain...you need to add. No fishing. If you are ready for something different...this is it. It's not fantastic but it's different than the old wii fit. I'm glad I bought it.

Wii Fit Plus is a Must

If you have ever used a Wii fit, then you know it can be fun, but it is limited. When Wii Fit Plus was released, it filled gaps that the regular Wii Fit game left. Creating workouts, tracking your progress, the customization, it all makes the game worth it. Before the Wii Fit was more for fun than for real fitness, but Wii Fit Plus changes that outlook to a low-level workout that is really fun. I have two kids, 5 and 7, that love using it and sometimes beg to be able to do so. Makes letting them play video games a much easier decision.

If you own a Wii Fit and are thinking about buying this game, BUY IT!!! If you are looking at getting a Wii Fit, buy the bundle that includes this game. Otherwise you will be buying it down the line, so might as well kill two birds with one stone. Happy exercising!

Wii Fit Plus a dramatic improvement over Original
Review created: 10/30/09

I can't say enough good things about the new Wii Fit Plus. First it makes moving from one exercise to exercise seamless and you don't have to hold onto the remote to punch continue constantly. A 35 min. workout takes 35 min. not an hour as was the case with the original one. It allows you to customize your workout and combine multiple categories of exercises in one program. No more quitting and getting out of one to enter another. It remembers the exercises you choose for your next workout session.

The new editions to games and exercises are wonderful. If you are like me, this new version will have you back into a regular workout session and you'll know you had a workout!

  LOVE IT!
Review created: 10/29/09

I REALLY love the fact that when I do any exercises or the games it lets me know how many calories were burned. I also like that when I do the body test I can select the simple test where it shows the bmi/weight etc. all at the same time instead of having to hit the button to go to another screen. I like the newer games that are with it and the fact that it kept my information/log from all the time I have been using the Wi Fit.

I decided to buy it because I saw a demo of the Nintendo person using it on TV when he was at channel 5 tv station and they had on the air. It let me see what the new games were and the other features rather than just hearing about but thinking it's still the same old same old.

You'll love it!!

Brings new life to Wii Fit
Review created: 12/30/09

We have had our Wii Fit for a year now and frankly the old games had lost much of their luster. Wii Fit Plus offers new games, workout routines, and a new outlook towards the year-old game.
Our entire family loves the new games that are user friendly and actually lead to a faster heart rate and some sweat beads running down the face. Each of my family members has a favorite but best of all we enjoy watching each other challenge the new games which has led to some nice family time together. Anyone with older children can appreciate this benefit.
Best of all is the price. For easily under $30 brand new and shipped you can essentially renew your love for your Wii Fit, add tons of new challenges, games, and fun, and it interfaces with your old games so you can still play them too. I cannot think of one negative thing to write about the Wii Fit Plus software package.

  Better than the 1st version
Review created: 11/20/09

ABSOLUTLY LOVE the game. Bought it two days ago its so much fun and you get a good work out.
I was still using the regular Wii Fit game when I purchased this, because I love it. Now, I have not only the games I love but now 15 more games. I was so pleasantly surprised when it sucked in and saved all the data from the previous Wii game. My time was saved as well as my history of workouts and exercises.I have zero complaints about this product. I think Nintendo really out did themselves. I am very impressed. And the value was surprising too. I really thought that as this was a new and popular choice, it would be on the upside of their pricing for games.
My nephew(6yr old), especially loves the wii fit & I have yet to surprise him with the new wii fit plus. I cant wait to see his face when he realizes its better than the first!!

YAY WII FIT PLUS!!!

  Great starter/motivator
Review created: 01/08/10

I originally bought this for my son and his wife to get them motivated to exercise and have fun at the same time. I had so much fun on theirs, that i had to get one myself. I run outdoors and workout regularly at a gym, so this isn't a substitute for a fitness enthusiast. BUT, it's great for beginners and anyone else just wanting to at least move and have a lot of fun. It's great for working on your balance and can be extremely challenging on alot of games.
It also shows just how unbalanced you can be with alot of yoga and strength moves you thought you were doing right. Its made me more aware of my position when i'm lifting weights now.
I also love how it keeps track of your weight/BMI and how much you exercise. It always tells you how well you did the last time and you can see how well you improved.
Overall, its a great game for everyone in the family...whether your a gym rat or just starting out.

  WII Fit Plus 2009
Review created: 01/05/10

I love the WII fit Plus. Having worked through the WII fit I needed something more. I found it in this product. I can make my own routine of exercise to what I like to do. Also tells me how many calories I burn for each exercise that I do. I not only get a work out, it is fun! I am not into computer games and have very little knowledge on playing games, but this game is easy to set up and get exercising.

  Wii Fit Plus
Review created: 10/17/09

We already own and use the Wii Fit. This came out and we decided to try it. If we did not own the Wii fit to begin with, of course, this would be the one to buy. It is user friendly, has various new options (including very personalized fitness routine options), plus the new activities, as well....it contains all of the former Wii fit stuff. We look forward to seeing what other new fitness discs that come out for the Wii. One important thing we have found is NOT to jump on the balance board (even slightly, by accident) because it can take you right out of an activity...making you start it over from the beginning. It has been a fun, new way to exercise....enjoyed by teenagers and adults in our family!! Enjoy....

It's the happening thing in exercise! So much fun!
Review created: 03/09/10

I, like most other people like to be fit. I work from 4 p.m. until midnight. I have a hard time sticking to a routine with my hours of work. The Wii fit plus lets me enjoy my workouts, without having to leave my home, and on my own time, to meet my schedule needs. The whole family participates and it feel more like a game than an actual workout. Helps me feel focused and not like I have to work out, but I want to work out. Best product for someone that is a little older too!

Wii Fit Plus a Plus to working out

Following the original Wii Fit game, the Plus builds from the original. Added exercises and training games keeps you going and going. Being able to customize my workout or just follow a recommended program give me the option of what path I would like to take. Wii Fit Plus makes working out a whole lot more fun. Recommend this to all!

  Great company to work with
Review created: 05/04/10

I purchased the Wii Fit Plus after using the Wii Fit for 2 years. The first CD arrived on time but did not play on my Wii. Two phone calls later this company issued an rma, sent me another as I sent the original back. I am very pleased with the company and thrilled with the new Wii Fit Plus CD. The games are fun and I would buy again from this company. They acted with honor and integrity in dealing with me and stood behind their product.

Everything you love about the Wii Fit.... and MORE
Review created: 04/29/10

SUCH a great update. I love my Wii Fit, I try to use it everyday and track my BMI and weight, and it really motivates me to get in shape. The first wii fit game was great.... but IT was missing something, the ability to make routines and have a daily plan, well all of that was ADDED to the Wii fit PLUS. The Wii Fit Plus Incorporates all your old data, so its not like you have to start over from scratch, its just a simple upgrade to an already great program, and for less than $20 being able to make routines for my workout, its DEFINITELY worth the money.

  Wii Fit Plus Rocks!
Review created: 04/04/10

When I bought this game, I was a little skeptical about the new games and thought I would lose my saved data from Fit. I did not. In addition to a bunch of new games and exercises, all of the things I love about Fit are included in Fit Plus. I love that my cats and 1-year old daughter have Miis. This is so much fun. I've not missed a day of playing since I bought it.
