This is an excellent book for anyone who wants to learn more about Wicca. Scott Cunningham writes this book in a way that is easy to understand without pushing his views or ideas on the reader.
I have recommended this book to several family members (Christian) that want to know what Wicca is. This is also an excellent book for people who are just learning about Wicca.

Scott Cunningham is an excellent teacher through his books. I am a novice and find his way of teaching very easy to grasp and use right away.

I wanted my own copy of this book for a reference, having checked it out of the library for as long as was allowed. I like Cunningham's work and his approach to spirituality very much, and find it empowering.
I was unhappy with this particular edition because the font had been changed from the earlier printing, resulting in the typeface being smaller and much less distinct.

As someone wgo is just beginning to learn about Wicca,I found this book to be great! He explains things in simple terms that anyone can follow. There are diagrams on Altar setups, Runes, and he also includes some spells. I highly recommend this book!

As a person who is looking for information on Wicca and do not have a desire to belong to any group, this book is excellent. It gives the history of Wicca, and also is very detailed in the information. I love the book.

Stick with the Older books on wicca and magick, as most of them are original,,,, new books tend to be rehashed material from other, older books....
I have read alot, ALOT, of occult books and this is what I notice..

I bought this book to add to my library of books by Scott Cunningham. Since he has passed, his books are hard to find and when you do fine them, the price is very high. I bought this book because it was reasonably priced and it is one that I have been looking for, for quite a while. I love the book because it is like The Holy Grail to some of us who are Wiccan, and I finally found it here and snatched it up when I saw the price.

This was the first book I owned when I started out. It was recommended to me by friends who were practicing. An excellent beginners book for solitary practice. It will answer most any questions you have, therory, practice, rituals, Sabbats, etc. I bought this copy for a friend just starting out. Great reference book for beginners to those who have been practicing for awhile.

I love this book, it is awesome for beginners or just want to learn something new. A very easy read. Its in my collection!!

I bought this book so that I could learn more about the religion of wicca. It is well written and easy to understand and very informative. I would recommend it to those who are intrested in expanding their knowledge about religion or starting a new path.

I was very excited when i saw my package in the mail. It only took five days for me to receive my order. Im very satisfied. I ordered this book on halloween (10/31) 2009, which i think makes it very special. Im a beginner in wicca, so i need to start with the basics. So i decided to order this book. I dont know any Wiccans who can help me with the path of the religion i chose. So this book is good for me, since im a solitary practitioner. I've heard great things about Scott Cunningham. I read two chapters of the book the first day i received it and realized how great of an author he is. I live in a rural area in houston,texas so finding other wiccans will be dificult. I know im going to enjoy reading this book. R.I.P Scott Cunningham.

Scott Cunningham was a great writer and he made learning about the pagan religion and how it is practiced very easy, even for the solitary practitioner.

This is an excellent collection of information and practical methods for casting, correspondence information, and more. EXCELLENT FOR BEGINNERS & ADVANCED -alike.

Scott Cunningham remains a well respected author by most wiccans. His books are easy to understand, focus on the spiritual aspect of Wicca as well as the magickal, and are well grounded in Wicca. I have owned this before but gave it away for someone else to benefit from. When I saw it on ebay, I couldn't resist. This is a great book for young and old, novice and experienced Witches. Everyone can use a little study of the foundations every now and again.
I wish that anyone interested in Wicca would find this book, whether wanting to practice or just to learn the truth about this path.

I needed a book to study to learn more about what I wanted to do, and I knew there were so many books out there I had to choose one! I talked to three separate people, and they all recommended this book! I knew I had to give it a try! It is a wonderful book! Very conveniently organized and written, I can understand it and it even gives you deeper understanding of simply reading the books, and what perspective will allow you to get the most out of simply studying it all. That, alone, is valuable information! Using what I've learned from just the first chapter, I realized the true reason behind my buying the book- curiosity to fill a need- and I loved every page thereon-out. I do recommend this book if you are serious about learning more!

very nice book brand new in very good condition great reading material by the author makes me want to get more and since i usually do not have a car it is great to order on ebay and pick them up at the post office
