This book is a scholarly review of Freemasonry and the surrounding trappings of secrecy. While the book is very densely packed, and will probably appeal only to scholars and not the layman, the book effectively communicates that the veil of secrecy surrounding Freemansonry is largely symbolic and is designed to create an atmosphere of belonging rather than trying to hide some diabolic conspiracy theory.
