Whoa, Nelly by Nelly Furtado (CD, Oct-2000, Dreamworks SKG)

Kind of a wild array of songs. Some done better than others. Often, too hip-hoppy for my likes. I think back then Nelly was looking for her "style". She's still cute as a button! Norm K.

Whoa is right. This is a long time favorite because the difference in range of music and it is all good. It reflexs innocence, love, anger, self discovery and all set to an amazing beat.

I really loved her "I'm like a Bird" song so I expected great things but the rest of the songs are like filler to her big hit. Not much to them "...on the Radio" has a great beat but just repeats itself over and over. I couldn't find one song I wanted to take the time to listen to, one of those you skip over everything just for that one good song, or if lucky two good songs. Disappointed...her second effort "Loose" is much better but it does have a few good beat, stupid songs but so much more talent on her second album. Download what you like of this CD but don't waste your money buying the full album, save it for her "Loose" album.

I love this CD'S range in styles of music. She was able to have a hip hop R&B flavor and still stay true to her roots and heritage. I decided to buy her CD because of the song "Scared of You". I continue to play her cd in my car and home because of all the other songs that can be found.
