This book is so much better than the movie. It has a powerful story that everyone will enjoy. Janet Fitch tells a dramatic and intense story that carries the reader through the book, you'll find it hard to put down.

I received this book in better condition than the seller made it out to be. I am extremely pleased, and would buy from this seller again.

This is a haunting book and one you'll most likely read more than once.

It follows the life of Astrid from early childhood, through her life as a foster kid and into young adulthood.

This book is one of my all time favorite books, not because its pretty but because its told with such honesty that it leaves me stunned. You root for Astrid... that she'll make it against the odds.

If you like stark characters and stories told in the first person, you'll like this book. If you like humor and fluff, you won't.

I have this on audio read by Oprah and have enjoyed it as well.

I had already read this book tons of times, so much so that I needed to buy it again because my first copy was falling apart.

It's definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but I found the book heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. I cheered and I cried. I wanted to reach out to the girl. Janet Fitch has the ability to make you feel so close to the main character that you cry with her, get mad with her, feel pain with her, feel fear with her, despair, joy, heartbreak...you even fall in love along with her. It's amazing. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.

I would recommend this book to anyone and will continue to read it over and over again.

I bought this book b/c it was one of the books submitted for our book club. I had seen the movie but it did not do the book justice. The movie was good. The book was excellent! The authors descriptions were amazing and you felt so much emotion from the book that you swear you crawled inside and became the lead character, Astrid. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good read, but it's deep. It's not a light, quick read but one that makes you truly think and it changes you.

White Oleander made my laugh and cry. It's about a girl with many different lifes and challenges to overcome. It is a book that is too hard to put down.

I love this book and when i saw it in hard back for such a resonable price i knew that i had to buy it. I got it in great time and it's in really good condition. I am so happy that i bought it!
