Movie Description
An entertaining kung fu period comedy, THE WHITE DRAGON revolves around a noblewoman (Cecilia Cheung) possessing great martial arts skill. Nicknamed the "Little White Dragon," this talented fighter is the object of several men's fantasies. When one of her suitors, the crown prince, sends her off to seize a blind assassin (Francis Ng), White Dragon finds herself falling in love with her intended victim. Joining forces, White Dragon and the blind swordsman turn their weapons on the blind prince, who turns out to be up to no good.

    We bought this movie because it was in the bargain bin and it was about marital arts. We thought it would be akin to House of Flying Daggers and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (both excellent movies) in the "on the wires" martial arts style. We have watched it over and over again because of the comedy and loves story.

    In this story White Dragon and Chicken Feathers, an assassin, spare with each other on a continuing basis. Who will become then new White Dragon when the old White Dragon is no longer able to continue? Who will the young spoiled "star" of the show chose as her love object - the handsome prince or the blind assassin? Chicken Feathers, the blind assassin, steals this show in my opinion. His facial and body movements convey great meaning to his words. In one fight White Dragon finds out where his strongest part is and breaks something - what is it? Watch the movie to find out.
