excellent for the beginner wheelchair sport fanatic
I have been interested in wheelchair sports since I had to start using a manual wheelchair 3 years ago. While trying to find books on wheelchair sports, I came across this one called Wheelchair Track Events. It was a great book! I read the book within 2 hours and found it very informative.
The book basically talks about sports you can do on a track for competition, such as racing, handcycling, ect. The book explains how the sport started, rules and regulations, and how to find out about joining teams for that certain sport. The photos were also neat too!
The only thing it should have had in there was information on companies that make racing chairs and handcycles. This way, a newcomer would know what company to look into for purchasing a sport chair.
I highly recommend this book (and the other 3 books in this wheelchair sport series) to anyone young and old, interested in wheelchair sports!
