(What's The Story) Morning Glory? by Oasis (Brit Pop) (CD, Oct-1995, Epic USA)

Oasis's 1995 Album 'Whats the Story Morning Glory' set the music world on fire and had people everywhere - including the band themselves - wondering if this was the reincarnation of The Beatles. Brothers and frontmen Liam and Noel Gallagher did that one better - proclaiming that they were bigger and better than The Beatles. I won't touch that statement... but I will say that Whats the Story Morning Glory was a marvelous album. Unfortunately the band's ultimate potential and success was compromised by the brothers' destructive behaviors and relationship. While Oasis has left much of its potential unfulfilled and unsatisfied - they achieved near perfection with this album. In my persepctive, the best part of the album is its range - the tracks vary in tone, agressiveness, flamboyance and softness - equally important, the transitions between those differences are natural and easy. To the listener, its a comfortable move from the harmonica and blues on track #6 (the Swamp Song) to the guitar riff-heavy "Some Might Say" and so on. The end result is a true rock-and-roll album that is as much pop as it is blues and as much fun as it is powerful.

The most popular song Wonderwall (track #3) was nominated for the 1997 Grammy's Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance - and rightly so. The track is perfectly balanced - great lyrics, great vocals, better guitar. A song that is as enjoyable the first listen as the 10th.

Great cd...the best songs and some new stuff mixed in. Recommended to everyone who needs to just relax.

I love this CD, you never have to change the song, you can just listen to it all the way through. Awesom harmonies and old school sound.

I already have this cd, but lost the booklet a while ago, so I bought it again just for the booklet and a backup copy. That should tell you how good it is. "Wonderwall" is infamous for it's quick chord changes and other big hits include: "Champagne Supernova" and "Don't Look Back In Anger". All in all this is a must have album for ANY fan of rock n' roll, their cocky, gritty, and sometimes lashing music has you wanting to put it on repeat sometimes. Gotta love the lyrics on this album, Noel Gallagher has some genius-esq writing here. The Story is Glory with this album! Get it!

Music from when I was growing up and going through all the ups and downs this music just brings back memories! :)

Had to buy this CD again. Seems like I've bought this CD a few times since it was released in the 90's. Anyway, it's just one of those CDs that you can't deny is perfect from the first note of the first song all the way to the final note of the last song. And that's coming from someone who is actually into punk and has been playing in oldschool hardcore punk bands since before this CD was released. This is definately one of the top 100 albums of all time.

I love the music from this group....i was just introduced to them this past year and absolutely fell in love with them. I would not of bought it if i hadn't changed my music and had an open mind.

This is one of my favorite cds of the 1990's. Their debut was just as good, but this had a more developed sound. Noel was underrated in terms of his talent. Providing the words and music is not simple. They weren't played too much after 1997. This was a highlight for them. I consider the 1990's my favorite decade as a whole. Heavy and melodic could describe many groups (pearl jam/nirvana/creed). This basically is one of the best of the decade and I have yet to tire of it.

Cd sounds decent. Case in good condition. No wear and tear on cd cover. contacted me via email fast to let me know my order was received.

I like this one a whole lot better than then "Definitely Maybe". It's catchier in my opinion. Roll With It is my favorite number.

The CD was in great condition and I had no problems with it what so ever. The only problem I had with this auction was that I left the individual feedback when I received the item and never received any back! I have made many purchases that I never received any feedback. This is a problem that I would like to see worked out! Thanks!

Wonderful CD from Oasis! A must have for every CD collection!!

This album includes one of my favorite Oasis songs, "Wonderwall," which is guaranteed to get stuck in your head all the time!! "Roll With it," "Don't Look Back In Anger," "She's Electric," and "Champagne Supernova" are some additional great pieces on the CD.

I LOVE this CD. Oais is personally, my favorite band. I think pretty much anyone could enjoy this album though. It has the rock songs, the love songs and the fun songs. Everyone is familiar with Wonderwall. That track is on WTSMG. I think for most people that is reason enough to buy it, but funny enough this CD is full of songs MUCH better.
Oasis can be compared with The Beatles, Neil Young and many more 'classic' artists. This CD is timeless in the same way.

The products are always in good shape. The CD came just as if I had just bought it at a music store.
