What's Math Got to Do with It? by Jo Boaler (2008, Hardcover)

I was assigned this book in my math for educators class. To my surprise, I actually really enjoyed it. I learned a lot, and so much of it resonated with my own mathematical experiences. I think any educator, especially educators of young children, should read this book. Actually, anyone who has a negative attitude towards math should read this book. It really helped me! Also, as a parent, I learned a lot I will apply in raising my own son. Excellent book! (And I got it for half the price it is at the University bookstore!)
