Synopsis A young girl named Kate enjoys a close relationship with her beloved grandfather, but lately he seems to be changing--he's forgetting things, repeating himself a lot, and seems confused most of the time. One day, when Grandpa can't remember her name, Kate asks her mother why her grandfather is acting this way. Kate's mom gently explains to Kate that her grandfather has Alzheimer's disease. Once Kate understands her grandfather's situation, she works on a plan to help him (and herself) cope with his memory loss. Color illustrations accompany the text, which was inspired by the author's father's battle with Alzheimer's.
