This is a very good show for the time. I grew up watching this show at a young age and enjoyed it very much. I bought all 3 seasons and find the show still fun to watch. The only mistake in the series was getting rid of Mabel King "Mama" for the third season. I think I liked this series more than "Good Times" and as much as "The Jeffersons". The series was short lived at three seasons. I never saw the attempted return with "What's Happening Now" in the 80's. I'm glad, as Rerun didn't make it through the first season. I recomend this series for all age groups.

This is great entertainment for anyone. It's funny and relaxing, unlike most of the comedies today, where comedies don't seem to be comedies, What's Happening is comedy. It's good, clean, clever, and very funny. Everyone can enjoy these episodes.

Supposedly based on the movie "Cooley High", although I don't quite see it, this show is a fgantastic trip back to an easier time. With all of the character of the 80's, from clothing trends and hair styles to 80's slang, this comedy shows the lighter side of growing up without wealth. Focusing on a single mother, her teenage son and her pre-teen daughter, witht the occasional visit from the divorced father, the show follows the family through both the happy and sad times. Focuising on life lessons and family values, it showed that you could survive harsh times with humor and love. I would recommend this show for both the comedic and moral values.

Must have, some shows dont hold up of when you watched them as a kid, but this still does, still funny!!!!!

I purchased this DVD because I loved watching What's Happening "back in the day". My 10 year old son came in from school last Friday while I was watching it, and he has been watching it all weekend long. Its good to have honest, clean comedy that the entire family can enjoy together, on television again.

This is a great series and still is very funny. I can't believe how funny this show is even after decades of being off the air. Today's subpar tv shows should take note.

I absolutely love this dvd set!!! I used to watch this show growing up. I bought it because it has alot of family values and issues that teens had growing up. Each episode had a lesson in it. That's what makes a show GREAT!!! There is nothing like the good Old school tv shows!!
