This book is excellent if you want to scare the crap out of yourself while being pregnant! It's scary facts that can be very true! The great factor about this book is that is goes into great length and detail for each and every month. The book definately does not lie to you! You definately know what to expect when your expecting! The author has excellent views and perception with each month and I found it very informative where I found the answer to almost anything I was looking for.

My doctor's office and my friends all said this was the book to get. The first few months of pregnancy are so important, yet I wouldn't see the actual doctor for over 2 months! That was scary! But the book gave me all the need to know info. What is normal about your changing body. The list of what to eat and what to stay away from. Great to know info to kick off a healthy pregnancy.

I bought this book for my cousin who's pregnant. It's a really good book, tells you the development of the fetus month to month, what to expect, it even gives you healthy recepies for the mother. I highly recommend this book!

It was very informative, and answered a lot of questions common during pregnancy. I enjoyed reading it.

I like this book and learned quite a bit while reading it during my pregnancy. I love how practically everything you can think of that is related to being pregnant is covered in this book. It answered so many questions that I had as a first time mom to be. The only negative about this book is that it does not provide very much information about natural childbirth. I was a little disappointed that there was very little mention about having your baby without drugs or unnecessary medical intervention. I know that option is not for everybody, but to be thorough, I feel it should at least have been mentioned. But other than that, this book is excellent!!! Highly recommended!!

I love this book! as soon as i found out i was expecting my seventh child, which was a BIG surprise this book came to mind and i had to have it! this book is great for a first time mom or like me a soon to be seventh time mom! if you're pregnant or know someone who is, buy this book!

I bought it for my pregnant daughter, and she is reading it very diligently. I think the material it covers is very pertinent, and relevant, even though it is a few decades old. Some things don't change and some information is always accurate, no matter how dated. We are impressed at how much information it covers and everything you could think of,it talks about in the book.

I love this book!!! It has helped me out so much even in my first trimester!! I feel like any questions I may have had, that I didn't think that others would have as questions, were answered. It is very word-to-word on the whole book. I have already read it once and starting to read it over again! Makes me feel much more at ease knowing that everything will be ok! I was so nervous at first and now I am put at ease. Thank you for putting this book out! It is a lifesaver!!!

I bought this book for both my daughters that are expecting there first child about 2 months aparts. Even though they are always asking my ? about this and that i felt this would be a good thing for them to read and find things out they may not have ever thought of. My sister suggested getting it for them as it helped her out a bunch 15 yrs ago.

I have always heard this is the book to get when you're pregnant, so I immediately bought it. I'm disappointed that it doesn't provide more diagrams and/or pictures of how the baby is growing, especially on a week to week basis. So far in what I've read, I don't think I've learned all that much that I didn't already know. At least I got the book here on ebay and didn't have to pay regular price.

So much great information and knowledge you can gain in this book. I highly recommend this book. It is a must have for every woman. It will help you have a safe and wonderful pregnancy.

This book is such a helpful read EVEN IF you are not pregnant yet. If you someday wish to become a mother, this is great for preparing yourself --- in terms of what symptoms to expect, what type of food you can or cannot have, what activities you should avoid doing, how to best deal with little irritations like morning sickness, etc.

It's a good survival tool especially for those of us who don't have a lot of friends or family around to reassure you that you're doing fine. It even has diagrams and illustrations of what types of exercises you can do even in the third trimester! It has a section that dispels a lot of myths and old wives' tales. It is extremely informative -- so much so that my husband is reading it as well!

The Baby Center's website will give you all this info for free without freaking you out with all the rare cases of what my or may not happen.

Your OBG or Midwife will also stock you up with some great resources that will cover all your basis and your Mom-friends may prove to be the best source of answers for you anyway.

Rely on your own instincts too! There are many women who make some unnecessary decisions about pregnancy and childbirth because of unwarranted fear.

If you decide to look through it anyway, sift through and take it with a grain of salt. Medical science isn't perfect or right.

I love all the details of every month and week in this book. It makes for easy reading and not too much at one time. There are also great questions and answers!

I love this book because it answers every question about pregnancy that you could possibly have. Not only that, but there are complete nutrition guidelines and pregnancy diets to follow so you don't end up gaining too much weight. I reference this book several times a day so I don't drive my physician crazy with endless questions. This book is literally like a Bible for pregnant women. It eases your worries, calms your fears and gives you hope for a successful outcome. Isn't that what we're all wanting during our nine months of gestation?
