Western Collection (DVD, 2007, 60-Disc Set)

I bought this collection for my husband for a christmas gift. Little did I know that he would enjoy it so much that he would hardly make time for anything else. The collection is great. No commercials, just movie after movie.
It's always been nice to order off of the internet. You don't have to go shopping in the middle of winter and try to beat the crowds and eventually find out that what you went shopping for is gone. The internet is great and I will continue to do a lot of my shopping here. I would recommend this set for anyone who loves westerns. The set is great with a lot of different movies in it. Not just John Wayne. It comes in a nice collection case to store the movies in. A+++++

I am a Western Movie nut! This is a fabulous collection. It covers just about all of the various types of western movie from the 30's thru the early 50's; musicals thru shoot'em ups. Some of the movies contained in the collect are almost impassible to find in DVD.

The quality of the recordings if very good when you consider the age of the movies being recorded. It is not perfect but that makes you think you are back in the day when you were sitting in the theater at the Saturday morning Fun Club eating popcorn and watching western serial movies.

The thing I liked best was the price. Twenty cents a movie is hard to pass up!

I bought this boxed set of DVD'S as a Christmas present for my parents who, like most,complain ( theres nothing on T.V )and they love it. It has 60 DVD's of old time western movies that you just don't see any more. The movies also have an amazing amount of actors that my parents love to watch. It certainly was a great deal for the price since it would cost a small fortune to buy so many DVD's seperately not to mention most of the movies you can't find any more. It is a wonderful collection and I highly recomend it to anyone who likes the old time westerns. You will definately have something to watch and actually enjoy watching it. Just think,,, no reruns,,,,how refreshing. The only problem that I can see with this collection?? Maybe to much time to watch them all. But is that really a problem?? I think not. This collection is worth it's weight in gold. I rate it an a+.

I made the assumption that this was a "John Wayne" movie collection, but as it turns out, there were not very many. Lots of Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, and many not so well known stars. Lots of "back yard, basement, garage" low budget type movies. I am disappointed.
