Hardcore rapper C-Bo has done jail time for the ferocity of his lyrical output, so the content of WEST COAST MAFIA should only be a surprise to the incredibly unwary. Titles such as "Keep S*** Locced," "Thugg It," and "I'm a Baller" are more hints that C-Bo and his confederates Big Lurch and Spade & Crash are nothing if not reality-based in their slices of thug life. Meanwhile, "Blacc Gorillas" continues the gangsta tradition of calling the public's attention to the fact that the guys wish to be left to carry on their activities in peace and without disturbance, thank you very much (though not in those precise words). WEST COAST MAFIA is very much your traditional gangsta collection, though this shouldn't dissuade C-Bo and Co.'s many fans old and new from enjoying it immensely.
