Good Moral but tough to hold distant learners attention

My son needed this book for a summer reading assignment. I thought the book was good for him to read but I did catch him trying to find information to write about it on the internet. So I don't know how much it interested him. It's tough to find good reading material that interests kids these days. The message to the story was a good message that I think is worth sharing with your child.
