Wedding Photojournalism by Andy Marcus (1999)

This book is a must have for someone that is starting out or has been a wedding photographer for years. Gives some great pointers on techniques that will make your customers very happy.
I learned how to expand my ability to capture photos that bring in huge amounts of money by adding a retro look to a group of family photos that were taking after the ceremony that I did in black and white for my clients. Almost every customer has purchased this additional set and wanted copies to give to their family members for them to have as their very own.
So now I not only get paid to do weddings but I make extra money by selling the family photos to everyone that attends the wedding as well. In some cases I have made as much as triple what I had quoted because of the high satisfaction rating received when I reviewed the photos with both families present to select the prints that they wanted to have in addition to the couples choices. I like to meet at the bride's house with everyone which makes this profitable venture take place without any extra travel expense or time involved to make the sale. I wish I had thought of this years ago.
With the extra money I bought a brand new Bentley that I take to the wedding so I can take pictures of the bride and groom in the back seat. Within a few years I should be able to retire with as much money as I ever wanted just from the inspiration and additional knowledge I got by reading this book. Buy one for yourself and see if you can change your life style, good luck and best wishes!
