The Wedding Book by Mindy Weiss (2008, Paperback)

This book really is a wedding planning bible. It covers budget, timeline, family and emotional issues, contemporary etiquette, ceremony and vows, parties, dress and much more.

If you have an opportunity to attend one of Mindy Weiss's stops on her book tour, do so. There's also a radio satellite tour and she has a website, mindyweiss.com.

I recently got engaged and didn't know where to start when I spotted this book. I would say that this book is a very thorough guideline for wedding planning and beyond. I love how it has little anecdotes on the side that pertains to wedding customaries and such. I haven't read the book from cover to cover yet but I've scanned most of it and each page is very helpful and gives you a lot of insights to each topic being discussed. I would suggest every bride to be to get this book as a guide...of course, you don't have to follow everything that says on it...it's still upto the bride at the end.

This book was recommended and it covers all you need to know about preparing for a wedding. The book helps me feel less overwhelmed. It's my go to book so far in the planning process... and it was a lot cheaper here then in the book store! Thanks!

If you're planning your own wedding (or at least part of it), I would definitely buy this book. It's basically a how-to wedding manual written by a great event planner. This book pretty much replaces the stack of books you'd probably buy otherwise (ettiquette, planning, DIY, etc.). Sort of like a wedding-planning encyclopedia. I also enjoyed the writing style, very easy to read and understand.

I love it because it lets me know EVERYTHING I need to do to plan my wedding. It also gives you ways to save on your budget.
