Jane Feather brings sophisticated romance to the elegance of Regency London in her books!
Livia Lacey meets the dashing Prince Alexander Prokov in the glamour of of an English ballroom, and the handsome prince dazzles Livia with his charm in order to make a space for himself on her crowded dance card. Livia has never been one to swoon over any man, she is independent minded enough to know what is what....but Alex stirs a passion in her that she has never known before. Alex pursues Livia, who is thrilled by the chase and later by his wicked kisses. On impulse she agrees to marry him. After their marriage, Livia realizes that Alex is not all he claims to be. Will she love him all the more for the secret she discovers or will this new princess find that it can destroy their newfound happiness?
Ms. Feather writes Regency romances better than most. Her heroine is strong willed, but not so strong that she pushes her hero away for very long. Her descriptions of the era are well researched and the reading of the story and her plot will make you appreciate this heady romance with mystery.
