You have to be intelligent to understand this movie

This movie isn't a happy go lucky story where all the characters have fake happy lives and everyone lives happily ever after. So if you are looking for a fake movie, look somewhere else. BUT it's real and it's raw to the core about a man who has yet to find himself and who he is as a person, while struggling with day to day problems with life and family. His insecurities and unhappiness at his failures is something almost everyone can relate to at one point or another.
Nick Cage offers such a tremendous performance bringing a character alive that is REAL, and we can see his pain and understand his need for acceptance, which is genuine and cares deeply for his children. The emotion, photography, metaphors and artistic screen plays are amazing and I was blown away by how well it was all put together. There are tiny things like repetitive shapes and colors that to the normal average viewer go unappreciated. The photography and feel of the movie is powerful.
I rented it thinking it might be lame, and I am going out to buy the movie full price because it's worth every penny. If you’re looking for a feel good flick which takes no intelligence to watch, then this isn’t the movie for you. You have to have respect and understanding for the art of film making and design to truly understand everything this movie has to offer. It was fabulous.
