This is one of the best series on the entire space program! It is concise and does not get lost on technical facts! Keeps your interest and well filmed and narrated. If you are interested in the space program then this is the series for you. Think of it as the "Plaet Earth" for Space!

The dvd is good. what I dislike is having to PAY TWICE FOR THE SAME DVD.
Other than that this 2nd DVD set was great to watch and wlll worth the purchase.

Great history for those who love space. I wanted this this since i saw it on tv on the discovery channel.

Very interesting to all ages. My husband loves watching it, my 5 years old (who wants to be an astronaut, off course)loves it, I love it!!! Very interesting and informative.

Excellent History, nearly all in hi-def. Great collectable for any history lessons. Great to keep all the old history around, especially told by the heroes who figured space flight out.

This NASA DVD series covers the entire space program from beginning to today. These DVDs showcase coverage that the media never covered. Highly recommended for today's generation as well as the future generation.

I have always been fascinated with the Space program. Even as a child I followed the the launch of Alan Sheppard as well as the rest of the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and Shuttle missions. I think I missed my true calling!!! "When we left earth" is an excellent documentary of that period. The file footage combined with the music of that era provide all the entertainment for any Nasa enthusiast. I enjoyed "When we left earth" as much as HBO's "From the earth to the Moon" a fine mini series in it's own catagory.
