J.F.A. - Valley of the Yakes
33 Tracks - 45:22 minutes
When I saw this album (tracks 7 - 21) at the local record store in 1983 I thought I had to buy it because they skated. I skated too so they had to be cool. Little did I know that they way more cool than I'd ever be. This record became the sound-track of my life for months. They thrashed and played surf tunes(12 & 14). I remember playing Walk Don't Run (12) for my Dad and we bonded. That was his thrash of the day and the torch was passed. I didn't listen to J.F.A. for years until I saw that Jello had it on his site (Alternative Tentacles) and bought it for old times sake. This a compilation with an E.P., L.P., rare & live tracks. With 20+ extra tracks you can't go wrong. This CD rocks and is another entry in America's punk rock history.
