  Tom Delonge has definately matured

This is by far one of my top CD's, since I actually purchased it. Don't be confused, just because this is Tom Delonge doesn’t mean this is Blink-like. This is completely different, part electronic, rock, and pop to create a combination that lasts. As a musician, it’s hard enough to put together a 6+ minute song, let alone have it have a lasting impression as “We Don’t Need To Whisper” does.

And the track rundown:
1) Valkyrie Missle (5/5) – Slow start, but picks up into a nice rock mix. Sort of Blink-esque, but definitely has it’s own identity.
2) Distraction (4.5/5) – Another rock tune, with a little electronic additions in the background. Catchy, but repetitive ending drops the score slightly.
3) Do It For Me Now (4/5) – Electronic background, not much actual instrumentals except drums. Still catchy.
4) The Adventure (5/5) – The single that probably made you consider this CD. Even though it’s a single, still very replayable.
5) A Little’s Enough (3/5) – This song doesn’t really bring much to the table besides the lyrics and the chorus. The attempt at a slow song comes up slightly short.
6) The War (2/5) – I don’t really listen to this song enough to give it more than a 2. It only gets a 2 because it’s on this CD so it doesn’t deserve a 1.
7) The Gift (5/5) – This track is a close 2nd to “The Adventure”. I don’t know what makes this song so special. It just flows together so nicely that it deserves a 5/5.
8) It Hurts (3/5) – Painfully repetitive from the start. Ouch
9) Good Day (3/5) – Can tell that the “crap” tracks were put to the end. Another filler track that I can’t get into. Slightly upbeat, slightly downbeat, depends on how you look at it.
10) Start The Machine (5/5) – The CD finishes with a bang. An almost full rock song with a slight mix of electronic background. Lyrics, music, composition. All put together perfectly.

Overall, this is an A grade CD. There’s a couple tracks holding it back from an A+, but an A nonetheless. THIS IS NOT BLINK 182. The last warning.
