Have the album wanted the CD. Love the song "Trapped" by Bruce Springsteen an all time favorite but enjoy all the other songs as well. Can only get these songs from this album/CD only!

brought all these great stars together for a great cause
that goes un noticed. these stars must have spent quite a bit

Definitely reminds me of my childhood,when my parents would play this..I grew up not knowing about what color was and that I have to learn to appreciate every and any person for who they are or whom they choose to be.We are the world and when people start to realize that and stop being selfish..We can make this world a better place for you me and generations to come.

We Are the World Still Rocks!Okay, I honestly bought this album because of the title song "We Are the World" for the most part. There are a few other good songs on this CD, but none of them compares to the title track. It's still a great album that even today sells at a relatively high price. Buy it and add it to your collection because your collection is not complete without it!

More of a dated collectable than a great listen, We Are The World does contain a couple of excellent tracks. The title track has its charms and remains a cultural snapshot from that moment in time, even though it does not hold up well next to its real inspiration - "Do They Know It's Christmas".
On the other hand, this is the only place to find Springsteen's excellent cover of the Jimmy Cliff penned "Trapped" and the original version of Prince's "4 The Tears In Your Eyes" which is better than the version on the Hits/B-sides collection. The rest is pretty much dreck.
Identifying the singers on the Canadian collaboration "Tears Are Not Enough" makes for an amusing trivia game, eh?
