Wayne Gretzkys 3D Hockey (N64)
An awesome Arcade-style Multiplayer game.
Wayne Gretzkys 3D Hockey gives is the first NHL Hitz style video game ever made (Unless you include Mutant League Hockey). It's fast paced and full of action.
The game is simple and easy to pick up, and even though the single player mode gets boring very quickly, this is a game that I still play in 2007. 10 years of replay value really points out just how great this game is.
Pros:
- Reliving past teams and players
- Multiplayer mode is fantastic
- Fun, fast, and easy to play
- Gameplay is awesome

Awesome GameAwesome game. Great commentary. Classic N64 graphics. Best sports N64 game. It's like the NFL Blitz or NBA Hangtime for hockey. Look for cheats online too.

good gamegreat gane. i remeber it was a great hockey game when it first came out. still is good. it brought back many good memories when i played it when it came in. i also like it because there is a cheat code to unclock the quebec nordiques, minisota northstars, winnipeg jets, and of corse my favorite team in the nhl that made CT suck to live for me after they left, ladies and gentlemen, your HARTFORD WHALERS!!!

This is by far my favorite Nintendo 64 game. I used to play it a lot when I was a kid. It's really easy to play and very funny. The graphics suck, but it almost makes it more fun. You can knock people over and get into fights that add excitement to the game.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. He enjoys watching hockey on television. One day he mentioned this video game and how he used to have it. He stated how much fun he had playing this game with his buddies long ago. I decided to look on ebay for this product.
I found it immediately after I typed in the search for it and found several bargaining prices. I bought it with no hesitation. When it was delivered to the house I gave it to my boyfriend. He now plays the game nearly everynight...except when I get a movie to watch. He enjoys it very much and it is quite entertaining listening to the reactions he makes when the game is intense.
It was a great gift to buy a video game fan!

I guess epinions was too lazy to put both Wayne Gretsky's on here, so I have to put the ORIGINAL Wayne Gretsky in the Wayne Gretsky 98' section. Sorry that my review is really spaced out, but there s not much to review about this game and there s a lot of different scenarios and stuff. When I bought my N64 in, oh... I think Christmas 1998, I bought three games; Goldeneye, Diddy Kong Racing, and my favorite of my first three games, mainly because I was obsessed with sports then, Wayne Gretsky s 3-D Hockey. This game is similar to Midway's NFL Blitz in its style in that it takes hockey and lowers it down to hitting, goal scoring, and fighting. This game is similar to Blitz in that it also has a turbo meter which allows the player to gain a quick burst of speed. This can be helpful in trying to get a breakaway or to try and catch up on defense. Of course, it also needs to be recharged. The gameplay is fairly simple, with A being shoot on offense, B being pass on offense and steal on defense, Z being an immediate shot (i.e. no windup) on offense, and with one C button as the turbo function while...

If you follow hockey you can choose your favorite player out of the NHL or the NHLPA. This means real players, team logos, and uniforms. This game includes 26 teams and each of them has at least 17 players to choose from. The players you can choose from are from their actual lines. As much as I hate to say it, this game is not that great, when you review all of its characteristics and attributes. I mean Wayne Gretzky is my hero, and he is the greatest hockey player, let alone athlete this world has ever known, but lending his name to an inferior product kinda makes you think.
