The Offbeat Path to Some Important Truths

This is a superbly insightful look into what makes us men who and what we are. Rather than focusing on specific self-help strategies (of which it nonetheless provides many) the book draws attention to the core of healthy masculinity, pointing the way to a happier and more fulfilling life by getting men "back on track" and renewing and refreshing our understanding of ourselves. If you're a woman, you might learn something about the man in your life by reading this. If you're a man, you won't be able to put it down!! With case-studies of actual men on the right track and the wrong path, this book perfectly illustrates not just WHAT is unique about men, but also WHY -- leading half the human race back to its roots and its essence. A+

I bought this because it was mentioned in an audio from Tony Robbins (who I highly recommend). David Deida difinetely does not have the same excitement in his voice like Tony, but he does have his incite. To me, it sounds like he speaks very much metaphorically. If you can handle that type of analogy, you will do fine with his audio/ or book.

This book can change your life. I was captivated from beginning to end. I wish I'd had this information earlier in my life. As simple as explaining what does a man do for his woman and vice versa, but powerful. I am buying this book for every man I care about in my life. Highly, highly recommended!

This is a well concieved compliment to the author's other efforts, and offers some remarkable insights into the way a lot of women feel, and think. He has the insight to qualify the type of men he feels would be receptive to his interpretations, and that was a good idea since this book probably applies to the majority of men, and they are well served to adhere to the advice as it is given. The popular symbology of the day indicates Men are from Mars, and Women are from Venus, and in a somewhat esoteric way this book travels along those lines refraining from any abstract mention of natives from Mercury. having said that let it suffice to say it's an interesting well concieved book, worth the price, and I have already passed it on to several male friends to read..and that speaks for itself.

Insight 2 You, Y chromosome and Personal Relationships

The man who lent it to me, said it is a new approach to getting laid. It discusses some eastern practices to fully open yourself to your partner, which creates a more fulfilled and flowing relationship overall. The end chapters explain in laymens' terms exercise and techniques redirecting orgasms for males. If that is all he got from this book is borrowed this book and read it in less than 3 hours. I COULDN't PUT IT DOWN. I strongly recommend it to anyone who is having trouble walking their words. It brought so much light to areas of darkness in my personal relationships. It also has great self evaluators, and motivators. GREAT GUIDE to not letting life or people perplex you. Chapters are short and conciece, so you can stay focused even if you have ADD or distractions.

I bought this book at the suggestion of a therapist friend who wanted my opinion of it. I fought it interesting and enlightening, and was generally pleased with my purchase. I since turned the book over to her as an adjunct to her counselling.

  Worthy read!!!!

David does a nice job of explaining some of the major differences between the sexes and what is important to one is not as important to the other. He also makes a lot of assumptions about where a man is because he's pick up the book. He talks a lot about the importance of a man's purpose & a man's gift to the world but misses a great opportunity to help men find their true purpose/gift here. (He assumes that you’re reading his book so you must know your true purpose). Many very good men are still looking/discovering.

Overall this is a good read & there is gold in the book especially if you are in a committed relationship.

I've recommended it to my friends.

i think its an okay book, seeing Mr. Deida's perspective on things. I bought because a friend from work told me to buy it because he used to own it. He guaranteed i'd like it and if not, he'd buy the book from me for whatever price i paid for it. It was a no-Lose deal. I haven't finished reading it yet, but so far it seems pretty interesting

I haven't really had time to finish reading it, but so far it's really good and really informative. It really does make you think about how you go on living your life, and what you can do to make it better; beit by changing something about you, or by helping someone else.
