The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep (Blu-ray Disc, 2008)

Great movie that all ages can enjoy. Wanted it for grandchildren to enjoy and also myself. There is not anything about the movie - it is wonderful. The movie did not have sex or violence that is unappropriate for children. Personally there is very few DVD's that my children and I can enjoy together.

I saw the trailer and the making of The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep, I don't know, something about this film just captured me. It just seemed like a really creative story and looked like a great family film. So, I decided to go ahead and check it out and I have to say that it really did live up to my expectations, it was a cute film for the whole family to enjoy. It's a different version of Free Willy I think, lol, sounds crazy, I know, but I think you'll agree when you see it. It's definitely a tear jerker, but one of the better films I've seen in a little while in the theater. It was made very well and I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more notice, but like I said, I think I just saw something special in the story. We haven't had a Lochness monster movie, all we know is the infamous picture that has never been prove to be fake or real, and The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep tells us the story behind that picture.

Agnus is a young and lonely boy in Scotland, his father who he was very close with has just gone off into WWII to fight. His home has just been taken over by English soldiers to fight off the German's. His family has lost something too, life and laughter. But when Agnus comes across what looks like a strange rock, is actually an egg left by an Water Horse, the rarest of all creatures, there can only be one in the world at a time. But he takes care of the baby who is water bound, while protecting him from his mom and the soldiers. But when the water horse, he named Crusoe, has grown too big, he and a family friend put him in the Lochness Lake where he is spotted and is now known as the infamous Lochness Monster.

The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep is truly and honestly a good film. It has such a magical touch like The Secret Garden, where it's a serious story, but it's for the family. I thought it was very well made, the visual effects are very good and not over done, which was great, because obviously the Lochness monster is going to be CGI, but they made it look so real, and so lovable, lol, like I said, I did cry, it's a tear jerker. The characters are terrific, they really found terrific actors for the roles. Alex Etel does a beautiful break out performance as Angus and was so charming. I would highly recommend The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep, it's one of the best family films I have seen in a while.

I love the movie specially it being in high def. what i don't like is how come up to now, the seller has'nt given me feedback? grrrrrrr......

This moves is breath taking in Blu-Ray, my 4yr. old son loves to watch this movie over and over. I definetly recommend this movie for the whole family and anybody who is looking to start a Blu-Ray collection. Excellent movie.

Wonderful story, scenary was beautiful, acting was great, special effects and audio also very good, child actors were outstanding in this wonderful story.

A well made film with decent graphics. A sweet story line, beautifully told and wonderfully emotional. Definitely worth seeing!

This a great transaction, the seller was firendly and send everything ASAP. I didn't get it before cuz' it was a long holiday in my country!

Set in the beautiful lochs of Scotland, it is a heart warming tale of a lonely boy who desperately needs, and misses, his father who is away at war during WW2. An enchanting weave of Loch Ness monster lore, and an explanation of Nessi's origins, and a sometimes sad and chilling story of Nazi invasion. The classic tale of relationships between a young boy, his pet, and a surrogate father figure, all of whom aid the boy in understanding the cycle of life and the value of trust and loyalty in all those relationships.

A good kids film. Blu-ray makes the visual effects really pop. The story is good... kind of dumb in a few spots but overall not a bad way to spend an hour and a half.

I bought The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep (Blu-ray Disc, 2008) and was immediately impressed with the promptness of delivery. I'd recommend everyone should have this DVD for their collection.

I bought this movie form my kids and they loved it. The Bluray's are awesome we got this for a great price. Very happy!

Teriffic movie for all ages, funny and a no brainer ....just watch, enjoy, laugh and not have to cry, judge or find a moral to the story! Very refreshing for a change.

The movie itself is very good. But the simple matter that the seller advertised it as a Blu-ray version and only the standard version was received, it was very disappointing.

The Water Horse was a heartwarming, fantasized depiction of the legendary Lockness Monster "Nessie" in Scotland. As an older adult, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie from beginning to end highly recommend it to all audiences of any age!
