I didn't think that I would enjoy this book so I put off getting it. A friend of mine kept urging me to read it and I am so glad that I did!
The book transports you back in time to earlier America when the circus would travel by train. You really start to care about these characters. There was one odd scene in the beginning of the book that really doesn't make complete sense until the very end of the book. (who killed the trainer??)
I have since passed this book on to my mother and then sister. My aunt is anxiously waiting to read it next. Seriously one of the better books I have read.
