Wartime Commands key attraction is the historically rich portrayal of the six-year war. A total of 60 battles are based on actual events, with each played out in 28 real locations constructed using topographical data and period aerial photography. The games 3D environments are highly detailed and allow players to experience the outcome of their commands through stunning graphical effects. The zoom feature permits gamers to view battles in an up close and personalized fashion. Missions cover some of World War IIs major European battles, from the invasion of Poland and France in 1939-40, through the war on the Eastern front and D-Day landings to the fall of Germany in 1945. Navigating as Commander, players have hands-on control of troops and their units, including American, British, German, French and Soviet forces, complete with authentic uniforms and weaponry.
