Warriors - 50 Movie MegaPack (DVD, 2006, 13-Disc Set)

I grew up on these "sword and sandal" films in the early 60's. Many of these titles have been available on VHS but many others are being seen for the first time in the USA in DVD format. If your looking to relive those Saturday matinees at your local theatre, then this set is for you.
These aren't the big blockbuster films todays audiences are used to seeing. These are the early muscle men heroes who gave their best to this film genre. Stars like Steve Reeves, Gordon Mitchell, Peter Lupus, Dan Vadis, Gordon Scott, Mark Forest, and Reg Lewis. And the women in these films were well endowed as well.
Now for the price of an average priced DVD you can enjoy 13 discs (50 features)of these hard to find Greek and Roman gladiator classics. I think the entire package was worth just the price of seeing "The Giants of Thessaly" for the 1st time in 35 years. Many lesser known stars and titles will keep you busy for several weekends of viewing fun. Nearly all were oginally filmed in Italian and dubbed later into English.
These discs are two sided and not labeled on the disc, so beware, keep track of what you are watching. To save space they are packed in thin carboard sleeves, you may want to drop by and get some extra jewel cases for your collection. Keep in mind many of these films have been setting around for awhile and there is some color fading on many of these features. Some are less than perfect copies and in spots a little rough. And yet others are better copies than I've found on video. Overall this is one definitive collection every collector ought to have. Well worth the price.
