This is one in a long series of exploitation-orientated "B" movies to come out in the 1980's. If you are a fan of roman style settings and the expected hedonism that engenders than this won't dissapoint. There is more than average nudity which seems to be the goal of a hackneyed and near-pornographic plot. Acting is fairly bad and the characters are largely two-dimensional. There is virtually no socially redeeming value to this movie whatsoever beyond it's formula of getting naked girls on the screen within the context of ancient Roman slavery.
For the fan of this kind of movie I would STRONGLY suggest you seek out the 79 minute version (which includes about 2 minutes of additional nudity). Don't be fooled by "unrated" claims - ALL of these are rated! If somebody claims to have an unrated version, then they don't know anything about the product.
Don't expect a good, sharp picture from any version. Every mainstream "Hollywood" production VHS copy I have seen is a bad, slightly fuzzy rendition of the original TV release and there is no digitized CD version available anywhere in the world.
Additionally, there is little to no collector's value (coupled with extremely low demand for the product), despite claims to the contrary.
If you are going to buy this movie, do yourself a favor and buy the 79 minute version, which can be purchased for virtually the same price as the shorter 69 minute version. Just make sure you check which one it is you are looking at before making the purchase.
