Green Day at its Best
This album is a must buy for Green Day and general rock fans. I have listened to it countless times and I never tire of its driving beats, melodies, and lyrics. Although different from the style of Dookie and Nimrod, Warning: holds its own. The album includes the International Superhits songs Warning:, Macy's Day Parade, and Minority which showcase some of Green Day's most creative lyrics and sounds. Despite these popular hits, the lesser known songs including the driving Blood, Sex, and Booze, the Elanore Rigby style song Misery, and even the classic Green Day rock of Deadbeat Holiday make Warning Green Day's best album regardless of its less than warm reception when first released. Every song seems like you've heard it before and the album, like any good thing, ends too quickly. Although less than hard rock, this album shows the true creative ingenuity that makes Green Day's music so easy to listen to and so addicting.
