Warmans Roseville Pottery by Denise Rago (2007, Paperback)

The Warmans Roseville Pottery Guide by Denise Rago (2007) leaves something to be desired. Unless you have the same exact color, or piece of a particular Roseville design that is pictured, you will not find it to be very informative at all. The pics are of nice quality, which is a plus, but the shape/size selection within each style catagory is limited, and doesn't contain all sizes and shapes of a partiular style. Big downer. An index would be nice, as would a price listing by shape/size/style. Overall, if you want to look at "pretty pictures" it is fine. If you want it to be a guide in determining a value of specific items, well, there are better ones to choose from.

I thought the book was well done and covered tremendous history about Roseville Pottery. Unfortunately it did not cover the piece I was trying to identify but had references I could use to further research. Book was in perfect condition. It arrived fairly fast and priced very reasonably for what I was looking for.

Book provides pictures, prices and descriptions of Roseville pottery by style line. A great book to have when looking for pieces.

I've recently become a collector of Roseville Pottery. The book has been instrumental in establishing fair pricing for items of interest. Further updating and including additional patterns would be appreciated. Including an example of items assigned different values would also be helpful. For instance - an item is valued at $100-200; what condition determines the $100 value and what condition determines the $200 values.
The photographs are extremely well done as well as the decriptions. As later additions become available, I will certainly purchase them.

The pictures are really clear, beautiful infact! Lots of information about Roseville pottery, and styles. Great information about Reproduction!! Great book for the collector,or anyone just instrested in pottery
only one thing I diden't like was, they don't show enough of the bottoms of the pottery, but none of the book do!

I was wary at first, at buying this book. I ususally stick with particular authors when it comes to referencing antiques but this book is awesome. The photos are abundant, showing different colors of the same item and giving price evaluations of each.
It's a heavy duty soft cover but it's large. It's well organized. I enjoy just browsing through it.
Esxcellent choice.
