The WarioWare franchise isn't that old but it's already one of Nintendo's "go to" franchises in a way. Best of all, the game keeps its humor and pace from each game to the next. Smooth Moves is a fantastic demonstration of what the Wii does and how non-gamers will love to play. It has personality and a "life" that not a lot of games can pull off in this category (I'm looking at you Fuzion Frenzy). There are around 200 minigames and will be a guaranteed smash hit at any party that involves drinking. Unfortunately, like those parties, when it's over, you aren't really left with anything other than the initial thrill.

Highs: Funny, Great at parties, easy to pick up and play, lots of minigames presented in the usual ADD fashion, flat out hysterical instructional voice.

Lows: Beating the initial game takes about 45 minutes to an hour, Poor integration of multiplayer, It seems like 50% of the games can be accomplished by just flicking the Wiimote across the screen real fast which really drains the satisfaction of the game when you realize that.

And Finally: WarioWare is perfect to play with your girlfriend. It's also great with a room of people. But if you don't have either of those, I can't see you playing this game for more than a couple of hours.

  Very Fun Game

Very fun! You get to play a lot of mini games. You start with Wario and a little thing steals his junk food, he chases after it and away you go! There are short stories that go with each thing you unlock. You learn different ways to use the controller. Graphics are nice and the game moves along pretty quickly. I like this after I play Wii Sports (that game makes my arms hurt and this game isn't as much work as Wii Sports is). It's fun and I am a fan of the Wario/Mario games so it was a real joy to get this one. Perfect game to look into getting!

A brilliant WarioWare game but, more importantly, it's one of the best Wii game so far. Wario should now take his place alongside Mario and Link as a true Nintendo great.

An excellent addition to the Wario Ware series and the ideal game to show what the Wii can do. Its lifespan may be a little on the short side but there's definitely enough enjoyment here for your money.

Above all, it's funny...If anything, this is the most bizarre game in the series to date.

Can't put Wario Ware Down - Ultimate Party Game
Review created: 02/15/07(updated 02/15/07)

What a blast. Wario Ware Smooth Moves is terrific fun and the ultimate party game. Its a series of mini games that all make great use of the wiimote - I've played countless times with groups (and individually) and it always makes everyone smile, laugh and enjoy.

My only complaint is that you have the beat the game (not terriblely hard) to unlock mulit player mode... so if you buy and expect to be able to play multi-player instantly, you'll be rotating wiimotes on 1 player mode (still fun).

BUY. BUY. BUY.
Best game on Wii to date.

Fun Game but not always smooth

We just bought this game and played it right when we got it. It was fun but it could have more levels. It is really easy to "Beat" the game. It does help with motor skills. You have to do several different stances to get to the boss level.

Over all good game. I would recommend to others.

This is a fun game for the Wii!!! I am a middled-aged Mom who never liked playing video games and have had a blast playing it. The mini games are fast and fun. Almost as fun to watch others play as it is to play. Some of it is challenging but always fun. It would be fun to do as a group when you can get the multi-player mode open. The unique way of holding the remote to play the mini games is also part of the fun of playing. I would recommend this Wii game to anyone who likes fun, laughing and challenging mini games that you can put down and come back to anytime unless . . . you get addicted!!!

Don't need smooth moves to have a good time!

Wario Ware: Smooth Moves takes the versatility of the Wii Remote and presents you with a countless number of 'microgames'. They're called microgames because at the most they last about 5 seconds each. If you play this game alone, after a few hours of unlocking everything you're likely to discover this game was NOT made for one player. The true nature of the game is in the multiplayer modes, which only take about 2 hours to unlock. Basically, the multiplayer games allow up to 5 people in most games and up to 12 in one game to play. You only use one Wii Remote which is very nice as a cost saver, and you each take turns playing a microgame and then passing it to the next player. The microgames are fun, hilarious, and downright weird at first and you're likely not to pass any or hardly any of them with your time constraints, but after an hour or so, a total novice can actually beat someone who's played for weeks, believe me it's happened personally. The game, competition wise, comes down to luck, sometimes you get the really ridiculous games and sometimes the really easy ones. In any case, the multiplayer mode is where the game really shines and makes it well worth a purchase, and multiplayer is only enhanced when you continuously unlock more microgames in single player mode. The only true flaws with the game, taking aside from the fact that it was designed to be a multiplayer party title, is that during multiplayer gaming the same few microgames seem to appear several times while most games don't seem to appear at all. So it may get boring within a short period of time which is really a major problem considering it's a party game. All in all, the unique ways the wii remote is utilized during the hundreds of microgames, as well as the comical and weird objectives you are presented with (such as shoving a finger into a nostril without hitting the nose or such as keeping a panda balanced on a huge ball without falling over) are insanely fun even if the fun may be short lived. One main rule applies to this game in terms of fun: the more the merrier, especially if few of you know how to play the game at all.

Wario Smooth Moves for the Nintendo Wii

I had never played a Wario title before. I have seen
Wario only in other Mario games. :)

The Smooth Moves game seems designed for the Nintendo
Wii to show off the remote's abilities.

You play a number of "mini-games" in which you swing,
balance, shake, dance, and such forth with the controller.

The graphics are decent, but cartoonlike. The fun factor
is decent and the controls act well.

OVerall this is a fun party game!

4/5

We bought the game thinking that it would have alot of movement, and strategy games involved thinking that 2 could play equally , we were very disappointed that it was "so boring" said my 12 year old. It is not what we thought it would be.
If you want excitement do not buy this game.

Above Average Gameplay, BUT graphics need a little work

This game is a great-fun-exciting and a great exercise game on the wii. If you like games like Super Monkey Ball and Rayman Raving Rabbids on the wii, you'll definitely like this game because of a great gameplay. This game has a lot of wiimote controling options like the umbrella and the waiter. But, just as any wii game the graphics are not fantastic. I'll give a 3 out of 10 on graphics but exciting gameplay makes you forget about the graphics!

When I first got this game I was expecting it to be a great, fun, and hilarious game, and all of my expectations were fullfilled. This game is one of the best Wii games out there. The gameplay is fun, the microgames are creative, the pace of the game is insane, and it is one of the funniest games ever (next to Rayman Raving Rabbids of course.). If your looking for another game to add to your Wii library, defenetly check this one out.

Ok, this is yet another great Wii game for those not interested in video games.
This one can get a bit difficult, but the microgames are hilarious! I paid full price for this game at EB Games and it was worth every penny! I wish the game was a little more in depth, but other than that it's one of the best Wii titles out there. Great for parties.
Up to 12 people can play this game at once. It's fast-paced!

Kids love to play it on Wii - very unusual game !
The games are unique and create some strange moves that kids have to make with their controller - they also enjoy watching the charachters dance to strange music !

This is a great game, an assortment of mini games that are not only fun but they teach you about the remote and all the neat tricks you can use for different games like the way you need to hold the remote to play darts, etc. I really enjoy this one!

Smooth Moves is the pinnacle of fun games that anyone can do. It's a game powered by adrenaline, so the more people you have, the more exciting it is. And of course, like the initial hopes for the Wii, this game is able to be played by people who aren't the greatest gamers in the world, and still have a great time.

WARNING: Really reaaaaaally random game. Fun though.

Ok so you just bought yourself a brand new Wii on ebay or something and you are probably exited to plug in and play....but you want something extra to play besides Wii sports, THis is the game for you WarioWare Inc is a very light hearted Humorous game, It consists of over 200!! 8 to 9 second minigames that all come at you at an alarmingly quickening pace, from Picking a nose to defeating a samurai or even driving a car all done by using the Wiimote(referred to in the game as the form Baton) as a universal tool. It's awesome party material just because of the random wackyness of the task that keps you saying "What in the world!" On the downside certain tasks are extremely difficult and almost impossible but with more practice using the wiimote in the game you will start coming out on top in no time.

Before I purchase this game, I expect a lot because I thought this game would be best game, which I can enjoy Wii system, but it was enough to disappoint me within 1 hr by poor graphic and simple and childsh style. My son, 4 years old, enjoyed 2 times, and then never asked me again to do. The response was same from my wife, 32 years old and me, 34 years old. However, it is excellent game for party with friends because this game was enough to give to big laugh to people at the first time by funny sound and eccentric games. If you have mind to buy second-hands, I would like to recommend to buy as cheap as possible for short time, but not for collection.

  Wario Smooth Moves, Great game!

It's a typical Japanese style game. It's pretty much a bunch of mini-games put together in various "hot potato" style action where you play several in a row. It's advertised as a multiplayer game, but this does NOT mean you use multiple Wii motes. I pulled my hair out trying to figure out why I couldn't sync the second controller before I figured out that all players use the same controller.
