The War of the Roses (DVD, 2001)

Its interesting how down and dirty people can get even after having been completely committed to one another in mutual love and protection. Its really terrible to see what had been lurking under the surface finally come through in the way of cruelly misguided hate, however done with a lot of fun in this movie. If youre going through a nasty divorce, see this movie it'll cheer you up as you couldn t possibly be going though as bad a time of it!

In this movie War of the Roses, you have a couple that have been married for over 17 years. Things are going well for them and tempers fly. They are going through a divorce but destroying all they have so the other one doesn't get. Absurdly funny. You have Danny Devito, Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner. The latter two are the Roses.

I bought this movie because I saw it many years ago & loved it but it never came on TV again. I was happy to find it & now to own it.
What I liked most about it is that it was full of surprises, both funny & sad moments.
Can't beat the actors! Michael Douglas & Kathleen Turner have a great chemistry for working together & Danny DeVito played a significant role in this film as well.
There is enough comedy and sadness to keep your mind wondering what will happen next.
I would recommend this movie to married couples who may either be having problems or don't want to have them later in life.

There are some great lessons to be learned from this film.

This movie was very entertaining and pretty comical. All actors did a wonderful job. I love how Danny Devito took part in the movie as well as narrated. Overall, the movie will not disappoint.

I ordered War of the Roses back in the last part of april and this is June the 6th and I still have not received it.I also ordered Dragonfly and it came right in I don't understand why War of the Roses has not come in.I have verifiction of payment and e-mails saying it was sent on 2 differant dates the latest was May 4th Please look into this it mays me leary now of orfering anything.

Oh, how me and my husband laughed. We like to come home and after supper kick off our shoes from a hard work day and put a good movie in for snuggle time. This movie was great action, comedy and suspense. Thumbs up.

I liked this movie. I had seen it in the past. I wanted my sister to watch it because I tell her that her marriage reminds me of this movie. Ha! Ha!

This is a real hoot and if you have ever been through a divorce you can pat yourself on the back for your restraint compared to this couple. No limits..revenge, spite and stunts you could never think of.. Good rainy day movie with a bowl of popcorn.

I am trying to update my old VHS collection with new DVD movies. There are some old movies that are as good, or better than new movies. This is one of them. Getting movies from E-bay is fast and I can always find what I am looking for.
