Wanted! The Outlaws by Waylon Jennings (CD, Apr-1996, RCA Records USA)

The CD, "WANTED! The Outlaws" is by far one of the best albums (later turned CD) ever made! It stars Waylon Jennings, Jessi Coalter, Willie Nelson, and Tompaul Glazer and was first recorded in the 1970's.

In 1976, when this album hit the charts, it really knocked the socks off of many Executives of Nashville Record Companies, and it got the attention it deserved as it proclaimed its independence from the normal rules and control that the record companies had had for years over the Country Singers. This is exactly what the so-called "Outlaw Movement" was looking for - they just wanted to do their own music in their own way!!! When this album was introduced, people & fans just loved the new "outlaw" sound -- and to begin with even Waylon & Willie probably didn't realize just what an impact one album would go on and change the course of Country Music!

Twenty years later, they came out with the "WANTED! The Outlaws - 20th Anniversary Edition" in 1996, with the addition of nine (9) newer songs!!! How many albums get the opportunity to have the opportunity of a "20th Anniversary Edition" CD -- not many -- but this CD has continued to be one of the most collectible CDs in Country Music!!! Waylon and Willie had paved the way for many of todays "newest outlaws" in Country Music, i.e., Hank Williams, Jr., Montgomery-Gentry, Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich, Kid Rock (who would have ever thought he'd be a part of this?!), just to name a few! ha!

Congratulations Willie, for believing in your music! -- Keep it going Jessi & Tompaul! -- and Waylon, we miss you dearly, but please know that your music will forever live in the hearts of us die-hard Country Music Fans!!!

This was the most unenjoyable experience that I have had on E-Bay! The item that was received was not at all what was advertised. The picture and description was of a cd album that had 21 some odd tracks, and the one that was received only had 8 tracks. Now the title bar reffered to an album that contained only eight tracks but I did not know that until later, the picture and description referred to an album that I used to own and I was so excited to see it as a flashback to younger years. I was unable to find out any contact information on the seller to find out what had happened, But I think they would have said that they shipped the right album that they had said in the title, but this is a blatant misrepresentation in both thier picture and description.The mistake was wholely on thier part as the advertisement was totally misleading. I was sourly disappointed as I had expected something else!!

Had the Album in 1978 glad to have the album back in my hands waylon and willie the real dynamic duo

GREAT MUSIC. EASY LISTENING AND SING ALONG TOO. WORDS ARE EAY TO REMEMBER AND SING ALONG. CLASSIC COUNTRY AND WESTERN.

This is one of the best CD's out there. I wore my old one out and needed a replacement! Willie & Waylon are the best!

Waylon and his friends do some "hot" licks on this cd !! Nice ! I really enjoy some of the duets with Jessie & Tom Paul & the Glaser Brothers.
