Wanted (DVD, 2008, 2-Disc Special Edition)

OK I'll be the first to say there are holes in the story. BUT it is fun, an average Joe with a mundane cubicle life finds out his panic attacks are really not stress. If you saw "Night Watch" you will know this director has an unique way of telling an unusual story, the special effects compliment the story telling. Yes you do have suspend your beliefs and physics but I like it for the way it is told. Watched it twice the first night, which is a rarity. Simple yet effective in delivery and punch. Joile and McAvoy have a good chemistry and Freeman is the voice of authority. International in actors and "haven't seen that before" stunts.

The underlying premise of this movie is not bad. But the movie is. Here are some questions it left me with:

Why is there a giant meat locker in a textile factory?
How does repeatedly beating someone up train them to be an assassin?
How does the ability to "curve" a bullet all of the sudden translate into guiding it on a zigzag path all the way across town?
How does being an elite organization of assassins also give you the ability to manipulate banking transactions?
Why does an assassin (especially one that uses a gun) need to be proficient in hand-to-hand combat?
When the head of an organization is corrupt, why do you need to kill everyone in the organization?
Why did they need to steal the bank scene from "Matrix", especially when it doesn't make sense?
Why steal Darth Vader's "No, I am your father" when there was no reason to keep it a secret?
Why does the magic healing water sometimes coat over with wax, sometimes not? Doesn't shooting a gun with a blocked barrel result in a misfire or an exploding barrel instead of launching the blockage?

I saw that movie already and couldn't wait to get for myself. I freaking love that movie. James McAvoy is so awesome. I love that actor.... :)

I love angelina, and any one who likes her will love this movie. This movie is fast paced, action packed, and very entertaining.

There's a sequal..Filled to the brim with special affects great car chases shoot outs the whole 9 yards..Angelina delivers the goods the twist at the end was a HUGE surprise as always I am thrilled to watch any movie with Morgan Freeman..be on the lookout for Angelinas method of picking up hitchikers..too kewl! Film starts out with a nobody in a dead end job, his best friend is sleeping with his Girlfriend..they both treat him badly..he's broke and he's just found out he's now wanted prey..as he learns about his special gifts and how to use them his world is turned upside down..a fun edge of your seat movie has some rough language and a few naughty scenes..an all out blood bath, thrill ride for any Jolie action adventure, fx fan so sit back and enjoy..I give this roller coaster ride 5 out of 5 bars!!

I enjoyed the movie, alot of effects, I do like a movie with lots of effects. This movie is worth watching and buying ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a good movie if you like to see the effects. The plot though, not so much. Although the plot twist was nice, but wasn't developed well enough.

Wanted is a great movie with lots of action and anybody would enjoy it. I was very excited that this copy came with a digital copy, which can be used to put directly on my Ipod without having to pay an additonal $14.99 on iTunes. Thanks for the great service and the high quality product.

I saw this movie in the theater with my mother. Let me say that she dislikes movie with blood and gore in it. With that said, we BOTH LOVED this movie!! The action sequences are amazing, the story is good, the acting is phenomenal! Not to mention there is quite a bit of eye candy (for both sexes). This was a movie I couldn't wait to be released on dvd! A MUST HAVE!!!

I loved the action, disliked too much computer generated special effects,
decision to buy dvd - ANGELINA JOLIE! What more can I say, she is SMOKING!

I recently bought this DVD and Watched it. Absolutely enjoyed it. Angelina was supurb as alway, the action was in your face and there was a lot of it.

The special effects and overall plot on this movie was great. Jolie is an amazing actress plus she looks good throughout the movie. Movie was one the best of 2008 imo!!

If you seen the comericals you know this is a great movie it has some amazing special effects simaler to the matrix if you like special effects blood and gore this is a movie for you.

corners were a little bent up and ripped. otherwise, shipping was great - free, speedy, and on time. it got to me when i needed it and that's mostly all that matters (except for the poor condition of the cover)

this movie had great action that I have not seen in a while, great special effects, great actors lousy plot C+ this movie has so much explaining to do

I flat out just did not like this movie. Not what I was expecting. I was hoping for a Matrix type of blockbuster and this movie fell flat. Special effects are good but so "over the top" that they actually take away from the movie rather than compliment it. I feel I have been cheated with this movie.

A surprising amount of sci-fi in this movie of super-human capabilities with the unfortunate corruption of the leader of the group played by Morgan Freeman. These are assassains who discover a way that tells time in the future to kill a person before they become a person who does terrible things, like killing Hitler before he becomes well-known.

This movie is great I highly recomended. Angelina Jolie is smoking hot! This movie has some of the best affects ever seen in an action movie. Excellent story line, all aroung great film.

This movie is an adrenaline packed movie with crazy stunts and tricks. The acting was great and the story line was easy to follow but the twist still get me everytime. The main character Wesley lived an ordinary life-worked a job he hated that made him literally sick and everything in his life is dull/boring until he is told that he has the ability to be a great assasin. This movie is great-worth the money...so enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We couldnt wait to watch WANTED based on the Acting Cast, the Trailers, and the Action, but it turned out to be a little less than we had expected.

The beginning starts out kind of slow, but picks up as you get into the movie.

Interesting, yet dry at spots, but held our attention throughout. Some of the special effects in some of the scenes were a little overboard and unrealistic, but all in all the special effects were good. A decent amount of action.

We feel this film had a little more potential and couldve been easily reached.

This is the type of film that you may have to watch a few times to get a true understanding of what is going on and what has happened.
