The Wanderers (DVD, 2002)

This is a great movie! Im Italian and from Brooklyn New York, and everytime I see this movie it takes me back to the old neighborhood. I love the fact that these are real friends who stand up for eachother and fight for what they believe in. It has a beautiful choice of music and it takes you to a time when life was a little different. These were good guys, no guns, no knives, just use your fists, you know, tough guys. You need to see this if yous havent already and even if you have, watch it again!

I loved the movie as it gave you some light hearted moments as well as some excitement with a great plot. Where you have 2 rival gangs and the other local gangs are going to decide which side to back. As I originally saw the movie years ago, I wanted to own it and have it at my disposal. For a movie that is over 20 years old the fight scenes are very real and exciting. I recommend this movie to anyone who enjoyed the Warriors or any type of 50's movies.

New DVD was exactly as described,enjoyed movie very much. Had been looking for a long time.I have since turned my boys on to this movie and they enjoyed it very much. I seen this movie growing up and it has a lot of good lessons about boys becoming men and taking responsibility. A must see for any teenager!Great music too!!!!!

The Wanderers is a classic. I watched this movie as a kid and it was one that stood in my mind for many years. This movie is one that you will enjoy and cherish for years to come. This movie is made when rival gangs would settle stuff on the playing field. Of course there is some violence in it, but nothing close to what is out there now. I you like older movies, this is your movie. I bought it because, it is a great movie.

I had seen this movie along time ago and I tried to find it on a DVD a couple of times then forgot about it so one day I decided to try and find it on DVD and found it I bought it and watched it again and it is still as good as it was the first time.

This is an older movie that I haven't seen in a while and I love it. It has a good story line and it just relates to people I grew up with of Italian decent. My cousin and I were looking for this movie and I bought 2 for each of us.

I bought it because it was hard to find I now use ebay for any thing i want sometimes bidding on items takes time but it's worth it instead of driving around town looking for it i know ebay will have it as for the movie on dvd i thought it was just okay due to the age of when movie came out was why it did'nt look like a 2008 movie but overall i'm happy with the products thank alot for ebay yours truly jpal.

Timless movie about growing up pre-Vietnam and getting into trouble.
It displays the problems teenagers have with peer pressure, drinking, ethnic
differences and all coming together for the ultimate goal - survival.

I read the book which the movie is based on, and i wanted to see it on the screen, so i bought it. Like any other book to movie deal they cut out a lot of parts and switched it around. But it didint ruin it at all. It was still good.

All I can say is enjoyed this movie, Will not get tired of watching this movie. Great Seller. This one is one of a kind. These are rarely shown on the networks. Family enjoyed seeing this one.

I saw this movie when it came out in 1979, (I think it was '79) based on friends recommendations. I loved it. Great story line, soundtrack, and plenty of action.
I grew up in an area where "gangs" (and I use that term very loosely, nothing compared to this movie)were prevalent, but not to the ethnic extent that is portrayed in this movie. Still, it reminded me of my youth, because unlike today's gangs, we did not use weapons.
Enough about my misspent youth.
The characters are for the most part believable. They pretty much cover the bases on all your different types of people. The different gangs are diverse and humorous at the same time. As are the members of the Wanderers.

It is a violent movie, but personally, I think it fits right in with the times and situations. That's just my humble opinion.
Definitely not a movie for kids. But, I think it's fine for teens.
Especially in this day and age.
One other thing I really liked about this movie is that it covered the assassination of John F Kennedy and the effect it had on everyday people.
Everyday people of all colors and creeds are crowded around store windows watching the news coverage of the assassination, crying.
It's one of this Country's most poignant times, and this film chronicles it.
Very impressive to me.

The football game between the Wanderers and the Del Bombers is excellent.
That is, until the Ducky Boys decide to pay a visit.
What follows is mayhem that not all folks have seen.
And thankfully so.

I, for one, have been in a similar situation, and let me tell you, this scene brought back memories that were long buried.
Looking back, I can't believe I was in a situation like that, but I was.

Nowadays, it terrifies me to think of being in that situation.
But when I was young, like the Wanderers, it was just something that happened, and you had to get through.

Bottom line is, great movie, well casted, great soundtrack and lots of interesting characters.

great characters, great sleaze balls. my buddy said it was one of his favoriye movies of all time, and i can see why.

One of the greatest fight scenes you will ever see. Pumps you up to watch. Funny story line that shows how guys did whatever they could to get girls but had no clue.

I grew up watching on video and it was a great show. when i saw that it was released on dvd i just had to get it.

I bought this movie as a gift for someone. I myself have watched it and it's very good in my opinion. After being purchased, it arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. It even still had its original wrapping protecting it. I feel embarressed that I have so little to say about it. But, because I'm not the actual owner of the DVD, I can't really say much. However, customer service was very friendly, the delivery time was extremely quick, and the item arrived in brand new condition.

Not being much of a movie watcher, this is one I like to watch more than most. A coming of age story about an Italian gang in the 1960's. It has humor, drama, tense situations, and a great soundtrack for fans of early rock 'n' roll. I personally can't think of anything I didn't like about this movie.

Midwest Media offers an E bay store and carries a large selection of DVD titles. This particular video, I had sought for several years until a friend told me, "E-Bay" Certainly, the results were immediately in, and there it was, the 1979 classic, "The Wanderers", and the search has ended.

I flew home from a trip and found the DVD awaiting me, and watched it with friends. Fantastic, and what a story! It depicts the New York City gangs of 1963 and introduces the time in a nostalgic way. Well written and tells the story of the times through the characters and events portrayed within. If you have not seen "The Wanderers", without hesitation, I recommend logging onto E bay and seeking it out. Not to be confused with "The Warriors" another feature that released about the same time.

In my "E-Bay lifetime" there are a total of four transactions, and thus far, it is a fantastic operation that brings the products to the world in a wonderful way. I love the movie Wanderers because it was one of the first movies I watched when i was young with my uncle.I guess I am an old soul and love movies that describe the past!!!
