If you love the Waltons you will this dvd set. John-Boy starts his own newspaper, and it causes lots of problems. Jason goes to work at the Dew Drop Inn, and his mother and grandma are up in arms over it. Mary Ellen is the first Walton to get married. Jim-Bob does some growing up and enters a motorcycle race with Ike's old bike. Martha Corrine comes to visit and helps Ben with a pony cart he has bought. Grandpa fights to keep free an old mustang. Grandma threatens to become a methodist when she is asked to share the organ playing duties at church. Elizabeth has nightmares about a ferris wheel and Erin graduates from high school, but she has no plans. All this and more in in the season 5 of the Waltons.

This is classic TV at its best. My four year old loves the Waltons. Its also very educational about what it was like to live in the depression. Very realistic with examples of old fashioned family values.

My 15 year old son enjoys watching The Waltons, so I am purchasing all of the seasons.
It is wonderful to have a teenager in this day and age that enjoys shows that are good & have great values.
I make the time to sit and watch this show with him and encourage him to seek things that are good.

this was perfect quality dvd of the waltons i grew up with,in the holler where i grew up life was so simular to the mountain family.this brought back many happy memories an a few tears as i watched the series

Walton's are so soothing... no worries about kids seeing something they shouldn't... very nice to have Family shows available when you want to see some wholesome entertainment!

I bought this as a christmas persent for my mother. She like's this series. I highley recamend this series to any body that is thinking about buying this.

i grow up with the waltons now my kids can to .they love them as much as i.the tv shows thats on today are nasty and no go for kids at lest my kids anyway

I am a collector of the Walton's series - having the series on DVD is the most superior type of media to watch the series from. I enjoy the way this series is depicted set in that era of time - I am also interested in antiques and their use in a specific time frame. The antiques used in this series is very acturate and well presented.

I bought this for my wife. Who has always liked the Walton's, very nice gift,
and I just wanted to keep up the series for her to enjoy. I personally don't know that much about it.

my 12 year old son really likes this series.It is nice to get him away from family guy and get him to enjoy a show with family morals.

I have loved the waltons from the beginning It reminds me of home and when i was growing up.
When ever i watch it it brings me back to a simpler time .

I love the Waltons and esp. some of the episodes in this season! My favourite is Pony Cart, about Marth Corrine!

These videos are my way of relaxing after a long stressful day. Problems are solved and life goes on. They are also good to have around when there is nothing on T.V. I love them.

We love the Waltons, always have. This is a welcome addition to our collection. This is probably the best family weekly television show ever made, HANDS DOWN!!! The price was right so we "snapped" it up, a deal like this for this DVD set will probably never come along again.

I bought this for my mother. She dearly loves the Waltons.
The quality was excellent, and easy for her to use the DVD.
She is 90% blind, but can see enough to watch DVD's.

IN OUR AREA ,"THE WALTONS", SOMETIMES ARE PLAYED IN THE MORNING ON THE "TV LAND" CHANEL. THIS IS NOT A GOOD TIME FOR US.

I loved the Walton's as a child and anxiously await every season that is released! I have purchased every season currently in print! In a world where it is even depressing to watch the news The Walton's are a refreshing get away that the entire family can enjoy! I love watching the shows with my Granddchildren who find it hard to comprehend that families actually went through so many struggles back in the 1930's. These are things that the children of today can only read about in history books. I highly recommend this series to everyone!

Loved this series. The Waltons are a fun-loving family that always have some thing going, whether it's John-Boy's 'Blue Ridge Chronicle' hitting the streets covering everything from Ben in a local break-in to his eyewitness account of the crash of the 'Hindenburg', or Mary Ellen getting married, or Jason's job at a honkytonk, or Grandma's set-to with the minister, or a exciting, heartwarming Christmas episode. But thru it all the bond of family sustains them. Excellent, superb. Once you start watching it you can't stop. Great for the whole family.

My family loves the wholesome tv show now offered on dvd! I don't have to worry about my young daughter watching the content of this show.Highly recommended to all familys and anyone of the 70'e generation.

I recently purchased The Waltons Season 5 on DVD from ebay. I love to watch The Waltons because it is a wholesome family show you can watch with your children. I have all five seasons of The Waltons and look forward to purchasing the rest of them as they become available on DVD. I collect old tv shows on DVD because it is better than the stuff they put on tv today. You don't have to worry about bad language or a lot of violence or sexual content in this show. Our whole family enjoys sitting down together to watch it. I would recommend this product to everyone.
